Exactly Antonio, the latest
DVD releases have proved that Sony has lost all the control over Céline Dion releases, since the logo of Feeling Productions and Julie Snyder's Productions J now appear on them. So Céline and René could perfectly do a the release or show they wanted to do to celebrate what they want, no matter if Sony aproves it or not...

If you read well on the boxsets of all Celine's 2006-10 releases, you can see clearly SONY MUSIC CANADA and Columbia records [ a subsidiary of Sony Music] on the back. Even on her TCWT CD/DVD, it's mentioned. They only mention Production J for video production [Live in Las Vegas DVD, and TCWT/TTEOTW DVD]. There's no mention of Production J on her Taking chances album or d'elles album or My love compilation.
And that's why I talked about
DVD releases only

Of course I see that Sony and Columbia are still her music labels around the world, but just in distribution aspects. The last 3 concert DVD's have not been released only under the control of Sony, but a new company has got into the ship. Céline and René's own company, Feeling, has grown in the latest years, they represent more artists each year and they are showing they have something to say in Céline's releases too.
"Sur Les Plaines" DVD was not released by Sony nor Columbia. It was released by TF1, in conjunction with Feeling and Productions J. Ask yourself why...
Ánd if Sony keeps acting with Céline's releases like they usually do I wouldn't be surprised if René took all the control of her DVD's and concerts with his own company. Or better said, both Feeling and Productions J, which has proved to know how to do things and make of a concert a quality release
Also, business and money won't be much longuer in music CD's, but in concerts (if its not yet nowadays). So maybe its not very far the day when Céline and René could do without Sony and release the music under their own company (Sony would still have the copyright of the songs of course)

BTW, 30 years is not that HUGE; if we were celebrating her 50th showbusiness anniversary that would be a milestone but 30 isn't that important IMO; 25 yrs of her career was important but 5 years later you're not gonna celebrate ever 5 yrs her anniversary.

30 years of career in Music industry is not that much TODAY?? Let the newbies hear you!

How many of them would give whatever they had to have 30 years of career in music now? Whey they last just 2 or 3 years at best? I don't think you have thought what you're saying...
Céline has a privileged status in the show business, its maybe (probably!) one of the most hardworker female singers of all time. So according to you,
shall we wait 20 more years (when she is 63, year 2031) so that someone pays her tribute??
