WOOHOO!!!!! Its going to be brill. I have only got 8 weeks to pay the rest of my vegas money How fast has that time gone. I booked it in April/May and it seemed ages away.

I'm so pissed off right now!

We all know that the new show and tickets were revealed/released last minute without any promo or much info. at all, which was extremely unprofessional and which was done during a credit crunch affecting the entire globe. And since February when the tickets were released, her official site has had a poll on the home page asking if you would attend the show with a few options to choose from!

Well I have been monitoring the poll twice a month since February, and the results aint great... most people are still planning to or don't know...

Apart from the die hard fans, no one else knows that shes returning to Vegas in March, and for a living legend like Celine, I'm furious, that more is not done to promote this and make it known!

We all know most fans on this forum will be there for the premiere or premiere week, but this is a new residency... fair enough its not to the crazy schedule of A new day... and not all fans go to the official site or this forum, but you would think with Celine having had a year and a half off which is obviously cool, and shes just had the twins... that they would try and give more info. about the show with three months to go till the curtain goes up, or some kind of promo to keep Celine's profile high in various countries, that they would atleast now begin to show the ''Taking Chances Concert'' DVD or ''Through The Eyes Of The World'' on tv around the globe, to get people's attention, and maybe add a few sec advert about the new show after airing either of these, to increase ticket sales, and to make people aware that shes returning and maybe to expect a new album, but theres nothing!!!

As last time round the news was ''everywhere''!

And I've checked with Sony UK ( her record label ) and apparently for watever reason, they have not been given the rights to show either of these on tv 'yet'... which I find is an absolute joke... but I really hope the promo train, gets on the tracks asap or atleast straight after Xmas ( January 1st ) with ''full steam ahead''.

I just wish that she was better looked after as shes she's ''the biggest selling female artist ever'' after all!

i was very mad too in Feb when they started selling the tickets without any prior notice...only the info that leaked a few days before and someone in the forum luckily shared with us. but still nothing was confirmed until last minute, very bad organization indeed. Not the way to treat fans

as for the promo i think next year they will start doing that, right now they're busy with the twins. Isn't Oprah going to do a special on the new show in her network or something?

They don't need Celine to promote at present ''obviously''... they have a brand new dvd released in May which hasn't been aired on tv yet, and her movie/doc. also...

I mean I'm sick seeing MJ'S '' This is it '' advertised on Sky/UK tv over the past few months, and they are on the same label so, someone is to blame somewhere right!!

shes only playing 75 shows in the first year which isnt that many.

I think they figured that it would sell out without any promotion.

75 show is not as much as back in the AND days but it's still one show every 5 days on average.

Anyway, at this point there isn't a single show sold out from the shows that are on sale since the beginning of this year...  While you probably can't order anymore through the Ticketmaster website there are still tickets available through other parties and I suppose that TM will release additional tickets in the next couple of months...

Like some said, there is absolute lack of marketing regarding the new shows...

I'm guessing marketing won't begin till Feb/March next year. The thing with Célne is that she has already done this and it worked. Now she's doing this again and they're thinking it will work again (much like with her albums). For Sony, nothing is to gain at present as nothing is set on a new album (yet). It's not up to them to promote the show, but to AEG/Feeling. While Celine will be promoted, causing perhaps sales of albums to increase indirectly, during this difficult economic times this is not a priority opposed to other artists releasing new albums this important 4th quarter.

And don't forget that last time she was also doing promo in France for 'Goodbye's' and the ANDHC album and she attracted attention because of her short residency in Belgium.

And how hard as this may sound, but at the moment....a dead Michael Jackson = $$$$
It's not a real secret that dead people perhaps are succesful than living arists, especially when unreleased material is released.

This may be a dumb question but do they allow pictures at Celine's vegas shows?  I've never been so I don't know.
