I personally think she should write her own songs, but only if she feels like it or ready and confident to do it. "Knowing" her , she wants everything to be perfect.

I personally think she should write her own songs, but only if she feels like it or ready and confident to do it. "Knowing" her , she wants everything to be perfect.

I think I read somewhere that she said that René has asked her a lot to publish her stuff and she is always saying no to him. I guess she's tired of it but I hope René keeps on asking her and that she will give up and publish it

I don't know, but I often get the impression that Celine is still very insecure about a lot of things, except performing. It is almost like she becomes a different person when she steps onstage. Don't know why though. But I also wish that she would write some of her own songs. I mean ''Don't Save It All For Christmas Day'' is an awesome song...

Yeah I've got that feeling as well.
She doesn't think she is smart enough to do a lot of things since she didn't finish school. That's so sad I think

She thinks wrong. If you just listen to the way she sometimes talks, you can hear that there is a wisdom there that very few people possesses. I know sometimes when she talks in English what he says sounds strange, but that is just because of the whole translation thing. But she definitely has a way with words.

I remember when I first started listening to Celine and getting to know her, I always got this feeling about her that I couldn't put my finger on. One day my dad put it into words for me and I realized that that was exactly what it is: There is a certain insecurity and vulnerability about her when she is not on stage that makes you feel like you have to protect her. Once she is onstage, it disappears (except when she sings ''My Love''; I get that same feeling when she sings that) and it looks like she is in controle of everything.

Sorry I have watched "live" at the time this interview with Lévesque and Jasmin and I still feel exactly the same.  He wasn't told what questions to ask or not to ask for their interview.  He never said that, never....and he would never do that.  But of course, as they are friends, surely René and Céline told him more about all those subjects afterward and even more on their future projects too than they said on TV.  He probably even stayed for supper and everything, I wouldn't be surprise.  It's not a secret that they've been friend for almost 30 years now.  The only thing I heard Michel say is that he knew more about her getting back to Vegas and other things but he was shocked that nobody in Québec even asked him about it.  And of course, he wouldn't give away privilege infos René had given him out of friendship. As Lévesque said everyone was very busy with the Haiti events and the fact that René said at one point that they were talking about an upcoming show "maybe in Vegas" or elsewhere just didn't get the attention of the media it would have gotten otherwise.
So the fact that Michel Jasmin knew more of what was told on TV doesn't mean he was told BEFOREHAND what to ask or NOT.  I've known Michel Jasmin since he introduced Céline at 12.  Surely you must know that there are always things said "off the record" between interviewer and guest, especially when they are showbiz friends or they have known each other for that long.  Larry and Oprah or Benezra are also showbiz friends and I doubt they make René review their questions for Céline.  C'mon Pyb!!!  il faut faire la part des choses à mon avis!  Michel Jasmin said it himself on occasion during this Lévesque interview, he tought maybe(...)but he wasn't sure.  Like Lévesque said it's not like they are bodies that listen to DVD's together with a "doudou".    Anyway I think I get how you perceived what Michel told Lévesque but I didn't perceived his comments that way AT ALL,  in fact not the same as you at all.  When René said to him not to talk about it just yet, he didn't meant with Céline during the interview but not to talk about it when he returned back home.  In fact, René said you can tell it to your friends but not the media as we'll be doing that soon.  Many of the same interviewers are around Céline that have been there for decades now and because they appreciate each other and share more at times(off the record) doesn't mean they are less honest and professional in their work and need René's or anyone's approval.  I never heard anyone say René(or Céline) had to review questions first before interviews...she has nothing to hide really.  But trust me I heard about others...those people are well-known by medias.  It's a small showbiz world at home and Céline has been part of it for soooo long, that's all and she wouldn't do an interview with someone who would want to hurt her and wouldn't be profesionnal and competent.  Anyway why would René have to say don't go there?  Sorry but to me that sound ridiculous. Céline can always say, I don't know about this, it's too soon or we'll see or I haven't thought about this before.  In fact, she says it sometimes...I don't think she liked that much that Jasmin asked about RC's hair again...but he did...as he knew viewers would want to know, and how about his repetitive questions about the health of their relationship?  They didn't seem to understand why he was asking so...Finally, don't forget Pyb, when you've been in showbusiness like Céline for almost 30 years, you find a way to say everything you wanted to share with the public during the interview as infos whether the interviewer ask about it or not.  You don't even need a question to get your message across if it is important for them.  I think you underestimate Céline's profesionnalism and interview skills here.  Listen around 21:56(I think) when Jasmin talks about Céilne's pregnancy with Lévesque, he seems to say that he thinks the fifth attempt didn't work as they had decided to go to Vegas in March and didn't announce her pregnancy on Oprah.  It's very clear now the man didn't know that much...He was submitting to us something to think about that doesn't make any sense today(he was wrong) as we know Céline just did her fifth attempt of IVF.  Funny how many people would like us to think they have privileged infos. HA HA!  Anyway I still appreciate Jasmin....and you too Pyb! hi!hi! When Oprah asked Céline if her returning to Vegas was a rumour at the end of her show, do you think she didn't already know the answer to that? of course she did.  But trust me no one tells the lady what to ask her guests or not either hi!hi!

Well well well, we both have different point of view and until one of us meet celine and ask her we will never know for sure    Even though you seem pretty sure, i still have some doubts and even more after i heard Michel talking...

I know in interviews in the US with either Leno or Letterman the guest needs to be prepare when they come on the set, they need a story that will be able to share during the interviews. And i'm not 100% sure but i think its a common thing to review questions before the actual interview so that the guests know in which direction the interviewer will take, just as it is to review in details the whole concert (5 min rehearsal in the movie). I know i would like to know in advance what will the interview will be about. I hope you don't think that i think Celine is fake for doing what i think she's doing!

So there you go, our opinions differ from each other. And thats totally fine. I'm glad you still appreciate me hihihihi i do too!!
