TTWII, Faith, IHT are OK, but not special. They are just nice Pop songs.

When I want to listen to well written songs and real Celine, I listen to D'eux and SISDA.

Given her condition something that they can try is to pre-recorded videos of her singing at home\studio and from time to time to upload to a platform one should pay for it in order to listen. That's one way to keep her going without the huge pressure of being again on stages.

Seeing René again - like it was interviewed especially for it - got me a bit.

In hindsight, he was so perfect at his job. If the decade 2000-2010 was a low point for Céline's discography success, he saw it coming ( consciously or not) and solidified Celine's stage power , before residencies and big tours were what they are now.  

I think around LMBTL he got weaker ( I mean from a health point of view) and Céline took over. She said it many times at that time. Not to mention she was turning most of offers down. Like she said.

Every minor ( on a career level) bad move was still better than the best thing that came out of Celine's team post-René,
Even Céline going on with her career non stop after his passing ( while she was struggling on various levels) was impulsed by Céline's willing to pursue René's work. Until she couldn't anymore.

The only major thing he got wrong : he didn't leave Céline with the right people to take care of her career.

Look at the documentary ... absolutely no one of her current professional circle ( whoever they are...) appeared. They had to dig up dead people and retired representatives from Sony.

Just watched the documentary. Really well made with some very interesting speakers. Some of Celine’s quotes felt a bit shallow to me, though; lots of words without saying much, almost like she didn’t quite remember the details. Still, it was very entertaining and definitely worth watching.

I came away with even more respect for JJG and everything he did for her career. And honestly, I don’t think D’eux will ever be replaced as my all-time favorite album by any artist.

Part of me wishes that same kind of artistry had carried through more of her later work, especially in her English-language albums.

Just finished the doc and geez I was so emotional, seeing Rene, and going back to the immense influence the album had and how timeless it still sounds …this was a great gift… and I was ready for 45 min special never expected it was an 1:45 celebration. Absolutely loved it!

Judging by this docu, it looks like they recorded Rene talking about every project in Celines career knowing that this footage might be used for future documentaries. In this way they ensured to have footage of him sharing his point of view on everything.

What I am also curious about is how old the footage of JJG is. Happy to see Celine, but it left me with a bit of sad feeling. I so hope to see her singing again like she wants.

As well as not being able to make ONE good English album or even EP. Or even trying something from a concept album, or using one producer or going fully commercial.  Not even close to something. musically speaking after her pic everything was bad choice and not even attempt to propose something different (jazz…). So…

I think that FIY is a much better album than LTAL. It's more enjoyable to listen to. And I really like the 3 traslated songs from French! They sound amazing!
LTAL is quite "heavy" and sounds dated. I don't like the Pavarotti duet at all. It's a bunch of different genres mixed together and that's kind of weird. There are only 7 really good songs on that album: The Reason, Immortality, My Heart Will Go On, To Love You More, Where Is The Love, Us and Be The Man. The rest I skip.

I would not make a review of my feelings after the show we all expected. It has as many positives points ( studio interviews, photos) as negatives ones ( I didn't like Celine gesticulations ) . But I thought of something, you'd tell me what you think about it.....

For the majority of French people, well no hardcore fans as we are, Celine it's D'eux, SSDA, Titanic song and they know she sang for long in Vegas but no more.
So I imagined this TV show as a test !!!! So if the show meets an audience, it is worth releasing an anniversary edition.

1,66 Millions people watch the show, which is rather good audience for France and It will soon be broadcasted in Quebec. So it can be considered as a success !!
In my opinion, it is now worth releasing an anniversary edition.

Let us dream : the whole studio session with the interviews, the beautiful pictures we saw from the studio and the Monic Richard photoshoot ( the official with the grey suit and the one that wasn't chosen with the roses bed )

Sony Music, feel free to ask us, we have a lot of ideas

It would be really cool if they released a full on anniversary package including literally EVERYTHING that was never released before, especially a DVD/Blu-ray with proper in-studio sessions, a live show, demos, a photo gallery, interviews  etc. and a separate disc with this Deux documentary on it. I would gladly buy it, even for 50€.

For the docu you can really tell that Celine didn't make a huge effort recording this album. She nailed 3 songs in a day and in one week they finished the whole album. And she felt comfortable recording it. And that got her the biggest hit album of her career. This is incredible! So what is the bottom line? Hard work doesn't always guarantee success.

Not sure how long she normally works on a album. But I think the shorter the more coherent it will be.

You know, it would be really cool if she talked about the Phil Spector experience in the recording studio in this docu, becuase it happened at the exact same time. We never heard her talk about it in person. She just described it in her book. I would really love to see her talk about it, what she thought and how she felt at that time.
