Leona is #1 almost everywhere: here in Holland and many more European countries, but also in Australia!

"Bleeding love" is one of the best songs I've heard in a really long time! Leona sings it with so much emotion. Go to youtube for her stellar Brit Awards performance and be blown away!!!!!

Her album is also one of the best I've heard in years! It's called "Spirit" and Leona gets help from some "big" songwriters like Walter Afanasieff!

Even though I like "Bleeding Love" (a lot), I prefer "Better in Time" and I hope this becomes a huge single like BL. Hope they make a nice MV for this song

PS. I'm already gettign irritated with VH1 India for playing this song every hour... they are playing the UK version.. but I like the US version more as the video seems to be more subtle and in line with the song

I really like Leona's randition.
Actually the entire album "Spirit" has became one of my favourite albums from the day I bought it back than in November and I still listen to it very often.
Hope she will come with some concerts here - would love to experience her live!

I've been listening to her album since Decembre. Couldn't get enough of it!!! One of the best albums in years!!! There are only two songs I don't really like: "The first time ever I saw your face". I just way prefer Céline's version or George Michael's. The other song I'm not fond of is "A moment like this". Glennis Grace does this one so much better!

The other 12 songs are soooooooooooo brilliant!!!!! Love them!

What a shame for the Americans, that two of the best songs ("Homeless" and "The best you never had") have been replaced. One of the new songs is just awful: "Misses glass". The other new song "Forgive me" is great!

Guess I have to buy both the UK and US version after all!

I heard Simon from AI discover her. And considered her as a new talent. But as i heard her voice, indeed so beautiful. I never heard her singing TFTEISYF. I hope she did gave the song a justice.

no davey. yesterday isn't the cover of the beatles' classic, take a bow isn't madonna's or rihanna's, angel isn't sarah's, here i am is her original song. the only cover songs are The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and Homeless. i bought this cd yesterday and i really love it. her low notes sounds like toni braxton. her whistle is fantastic, but her high notes are just plain. but this is a great buy.

i guess so. haven't heard of her version. a moment like this is not included in the album.

and it's surprising that Simon Cowell wrote 1 of her songs . he co-wrote FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND which is a pretty nice track.

Forgive my ignorance, but I would really appreciate if someone could tell me who this Leona is.
Does she have a similar style as Celine? is she any good? I haven't been able to find any record of hers here in Cordoba, Argentina.

she's the winner of UK's The X-Factor in 2006. she's also the latest protege of Clive Davis and Simon Cowell. her style is far from being "original" as her music is just like anybody else's sound (toni braxton, mariah carey, even celine dion for her ballads). she's got a really nice voice. her song "BLEEDING LOVE" hit #1 in many countries. hope it helps.

Leona was the first female singer since Celine to make me sit up and listen. Her live performances on X Factor were incredible ( though the only song she didn't quite master was All By Myself )

her voice is smooth, soulful and powerful.

but I don't really like the style they have made for her. If she had been on the scene in the early 90s she would have been a huge success, but appetite for big divas is waning... a shame really.

She is more like Whitney than Celine. I like her, but I find some of her techniques and phrasing slightly annoying.

As for her cover of TFTEISYF... This is one of my all time favourite songs but Leona's version is lacklustre and dull. She should never have covered it. Nobody should.

Roberta Flack owns this song... her version is incomparable and her voice is so understated and haunting. I just love it!! I used to love Celine's version but now I'm not so keen... I think it is better than Leona's version because of the orchestration, but Roberta Flack's version is the definitive one. It's truly beautiful!
