Yeah, that sounds about right. Notice how surprisingly short that Setlist is though. No water from the moon or with this tear. I am suspicious of many of the setlists on that website anyway, and I know for a fact, a couple of them are wrong.

hmmm, I’ll have to check to see if those were on the website by any chance. I don’t think the nothing broken, but my heart one was.

Nope, a YouTube link to something talking about that fan club meeting was listed but no actual performance. I believe that’s one. Some people have been looking for for sometime now.

that NBBMH performance has been lost for a long time, i remember reading in one of the threads that someone had it but they unfortunately lost it.

I was looking for something about Mariah's tours on Wikipedia and I was blown away : all of her live tv performances are listed since the beginningPosted Image Posted Image

I was looking for performances of Celine Dion era...and there isn't a lot. Worse : I can't believe there's no live performances of DMQS from that period ( maybe she didn't any?).

There's a small clip but hard to judge if live...

I'd like to know if all songs lipped during TCOML tour were live during the CD tour ( Unison, IYAMT, DMQS)...

I’d say that 1992 clip of DMQS is live, it sounds slightly different than the track I wonder about If You Asked Me To. I think it’s reasonable to say that it was probably lipped for at least most or all of the 1992 tour but without footage, we don’t know. If you ask me to track sounds a tad more like 1993, but when has she ever began randomly lipping something halfway through a tour? We do know WDMHBN was lipped for the entire tour and most dates she opened for Michael Bolton prior. Would also love a complete with this tear performance.

I’m of the opinion she sang IYAMT live for at least the first half of the tour, cause that mostly coincided with the Michael Bolton dates where she sang it live.

So! Apparently Céline performed the song If You Could See Me Now during her shows at L’agora du Vieux Port in Quebec. She performed two concerts there (August 21 and 22, 1992), so I’m not sure if she sang it the two nights or just one. This comes from an old press article shared by Celine Dion Performances on Instagram earlier today. You can read the short article here.

Since it’s in French, here’s my English translation of the article:

We got to see her performing a repertoire of American-influenced ballads, like Where Does My Heart Beat Now, Nothing Broken But My Heart and others such as If You Could See Me Now. It’s clear that nobody else could sing this kind of songs better than her. Céline Dion has the most beautiful voice, but she also possesses something that American singers will never have: she has the temper of a Québécoise, with everything that this implies. For our neighbors, Céline is a new and original product. For us, she is so much more than that: she is… Céline!

Omfg this is why we need bootlegs! Proof she throws in some rare surprises like this from time to time. Wonder now if it was performed in the first couple dates? It's not listed on any setlist on setlist FM last I knew and it's not listed on either bootleg on that old cite. Also I think we can confirm that famous WDMHBN from Miami is actually 1993, can't remember if someone posted that here.

There's nothing like that in the original text. There is no mention of any "performance" and the verb "to see" is not used as "to attend" but as a general observation. I think it's just misleading about the whole meaning ;)

I agree with Woodstock. It's about translation. Nothing mentions she sang these songs, though we can image she did.

It's more about the fear/reticence to see Céline going into American easy listening songs... mentioning Where Does My Heart Beat Now, Nothing Broken But My Heart and others such as If You Could See Me Now, as examples.

It's not about judgement, in any case, but for French people, songs in English sound very very poor, regarding the text. That's what sweats from this article. Writing songs for French market ( though it's not as true as it used to be ) is focused on the text, the meaning of a story, the depth of emotions, with a vocabulary as rich as possible. Music is here just to serve the text.
It's the opposite for US - UK music. Text is not so important as long as it participate to the rythm of music. "I love you, I miss you, I need you etc". Very simple.

So that is what the article is about but at the end, whatever she sings, "Céline remains Céline"

So in a way we can definitely say that Celine's discography reflects these contexts. The lyrics of her French catalogue are far, FAR superior to what she's sung in English.

I'm not sure. Australia 1996 was mono so I'm not too surprised this one is as well.
