In the interview Renè had said that the process to have a baby has already started. Maybe the bandage is because she had to give a blood sample, and the sad look could be that she just does not feel well.

Yes, it was another one. I wanted to listen to it, unfortunately the radio's website did not work for me at that time. I only heard him talk a little about how he tought RC how to play poker, and that's he's like a pro now and he said gambling is a serious disease, but he was lucky to have friends that helped him NOT to get addicted to the point of no return. He said he was never mad enough to play everything, he was always smart about his gambling. Not quoting him, just giving you an idea. Maybe it will be available online at some point.

So I listened to it. No news about Celine's future plans, if you were expecting any, just chatting. He did say some interesting things we didn't know:
- about Rene-Charles and being a father again: he said that in the first year of RC's life, when they were in Las Vegas, he was always by his side, taking millions of pictures. But, once they moved to Las Vegas, it got pretty crazy. He said it was like going to Poker University and he fell back into his old habbits he had quited some 30 years earlier, of gambling very, very much. He said in the first 2 years in Vegas he was gambling almost every night, and he was really excited to play with the best players in the world. So he wasn't as present for RC and Celine as he would've wished, because he was giving in to his addiction again. But he said: "Celine brought me back to order and that's why I call her my Government". With Celine's help he managed to overcome his addiction and since then he's been by RC's side all the time. He said that, when they were in Australia for 2 weeks during the world tour, he and RC played golf every single day.
- about RC and poker: he said RC loves playing poker, and Texas Hold'em is his game. He said RC is very serious and very intense when he's playing, which makes it very funny for the grown-ups to watch   He said that the night before the interview they were playing poker: him, RC, Celine, Celine's sister Linda, and Linda's daughter. And at one point Linda's daughter didn't know what to do or something, because she wasn't very good at the game, and RC turned to him and told him "I guess she doesn't know she's playing with 2 pros"  
- he said he won't be in the studio in Montreal for every Star Academie show, but he will appear via satellite from where ever he'll be at the time.
- also about gambling, he said he really love what his son Patrick told George Herbert-Germain: "My father has disease he does not suffer from". He said it's true, he has a disease, gambling, but he's not addicted to it anymore.
- about Celine and Celine's mother: he said that it was very hard for him to admit he was in love with Celine. He knew Celine was already in love with him and he realized he loved her too, but it was hard because he knew her family put their trust in him and he felt he was betraying that trust. He said he had a very difficult time with Maman Dion, as she was very, very upset with him. He said that, in his mind, Celine's mother truely accepted him as the love of Celine's life only after they had Rene-Charles! That not to say it true, if you ask me I think her mother accepted him long ago, but he said that's how he feels.

Hmmm... that what I remember right now, if I remember anything else, I'll let you know.

Can I ask something though? That's the second time I've heard something mentioned about Linda having kids- but Celine said the reasons he chose Linda as RCs Godmother was because she and Alain were not able to have kids? So do they, or don't they??

Thank you, I wonder will Rene want to avoid Vegas, in order to avoid gambling?? Wouldnt they try and steer clear of the place? Just curious as it might not be such a good idea for them to return there when Rene has this problem, they say its resolved now so who knows? Its just vegas is prob not the best place to live if you have a gambling addiction

Yes, Florida . He did say Linda, I remember it very well. I have no idea if Linda has children or not... Maybe Rene wanted to say another name and got confused, who knows, but he did say Linda.

Why did he think that?

Maybe he thought that, in Celine's mother's eyes, only a child can make a relationship legitimate, who knows. Maybe he felt he only got back her full trust in him when they had RC... But that's what the man felt... Sometimes feelings cannot be explained.

Ya, it probably isn't, but he did manage to overcome it, which says a lot about his strenght of character. He only had problems in the 2 first years, so he managed to live there 3 more without giving in to his addiction. And Celine is always there, keeping him "to order" like he said

Il est question, dans Le maître du jeu, de votre rapport aux médias. On vous a parfois reproché de vouloir contrôler la presse. Que répondez-vous à cela ?

— Il y a, dans les médias, beaucoup de gens qui ne savent pas ce qu'est le travail d'un agent. Ils s'imaginent que, parce que je veux regarder une émission avant sa diffusion, j'essaie de contrôler ce qu'ils font. Mais c'est ça, le travail d'un agent ! Quand je faisais équipe avec Guy Cloutier, dans les années 1970, on avait voulu faire venir Elvis Presley au Stade olympique. Son agent n'a pas dit : « Oui, envoyez-nous l'argent ! » Au contraire, il avait toute une liste de demandes et de restrictions. Il n'essayait pas de contrôler, il faisait son job . C'est ça le travail d'un agent : veiller à ce que tout soit parfait pour son artiste. Avec ceux qui le comprennent, on n'a aucun problème, on collabore. C'est seulement avec ceux qui sont innocents que j'ai des difficultés. Je déteste quand les journalistes ne respectent pas Céline et ce qu'elle a accompli. Dans 50 ans, ils regretteront leurs écrits.

Vous en voulez à Radio-Canada pour un reportage diffusé à Enjeux, en 2006, et pour des sketchs du récent Bye Bye ? Vous n'acceptez pas les propos durs envers votre protégée ?


— Quand il y a des choses méchantes qui s'écrivent ou se disent contre Céline, ça m'écœure. Je ne suis pas seulement l'agent de Céline, je suis aussi son mari. Je l'aime, je sais comment elle est, je sais qu'elle est le top, comme chanteuse et aussi comme personne. Une chance qu'elle ne lit pas les journaux, ça lui ferait mal de voir ceux qui rient d'elle. Ce qui m'a écœuré, c'est qu'elle a vu ce reportage à Radio-Canada [NDLR : « Céline Dion : Quand le succès populaire dérange », d'Alain Gravel, diffusé à Enjeux le 28 novembre 2006], elle qui ne regarde jamais les émissions qui la concernent. Je l'avais invitée à le voir avec moi, car ça devait être un « hommage » pour ses 25 ans de carrière, selon ce que m'avait dit quelques mois plus tôt le patron des émissions, Sylvain Lafrance. L'émission commence. Je vois Sylvain Cormier, du Devoir, et Nathalie Petrowski qui déblatèrent contre Céline. Elle a regardé ça sans dire un mot. Mais je sais qu'elle devait avoir mal. C'est pour ça que j'en veux à Radio-Canada.

Après tous ces succès, avez-vous toujours la passion du métier ? Êtes-vous toujours ému par les ovations ?

— La passion est intacte. Il m'arrive encore souvent de pleurer pendant un spectacle de Céline. Elle me fait toujours autant confiance, mais ce n'est plus comme lorsqu'elle avait 14 ou 15 ans. Dans certaines sphères du métier, elle est plus forte que moi. Elle pourrait d'ailleurs être une extraordinaire agente d'artistes. Elle possède un bon jugement, connaît le public, saurait quoi accepter, quoi refuser. Elle sait tout dans ce métier-là, excepté négocier. Elle aurait besoin d'un agent d'affaires pour le faire, parce qu'elle n'a pas la poker face . Quand elle aime ça, elle sourit. Quand elle n'aime pas ça, ça paraît. Une chance qu'elle est comme ça. C'est elle qui est en contact avec le public et elle est transparente. Ce n'est pas pour rien qu'elle a de si bonnes relations avec les gens.

Quelle est la suite des choses ? Pour Céline Dion ? Pour vous ?

— On arrête un an, un an et demi. Notre plus grand rêve, c'est d'avoir un autre enfant. Cela va déterminer le reste. Des idées, on en a à la tonne. Si Céline revient sur scène, elle va faire quelque chose qu'elle n'a jamais fait avant. Sinon, elle ne reviendra pas. Il va falloir qu'il y ait une passion, un défi, quelque chose de nouveau, qu'on va aimer faire.

N'êtes-vous pas « surqualifié » pour le travail de directeur de Star Académie ?

— Cette aventure me passionne. J'ai un immense respect pour Stéphane Laporte, Julie Snyder et France Lauzière, qui m'ont proposé d'y participer, et j'y prends beaucoup de plaisir. J'aime voir la passion et le rêve dans les yeux des jeunes. J'ai toujours admiré les gens qui ont du talent et du courage. Je suis passé par là. Je voulais être populaire, je sais comment ils se sentent. J'aime mieux parler à des jeunes qui sont purs, vrais et sincères que de m'adresser à des artistes qui ont un peu d'expérience.

HA! I know this from french lessons!   belle-soeur means stephsister!! but I don't get how he would use that with Linda... didn't he say belle-fille? cos maybe it's Alans child and Linda is the stephmother! or maybe rené-charles sees linda's daughter as a stephsister!
