Album leaked! Downloaded it since I already pre-ordered a hard copy. Cry, Already Gone, Whyyawannabringmedown, I Do Not Hook Up, All I Ever Wanted = :heart:. Haha basically every song on the album, I haven't even finished listening yet.

The album itself is very good, but I don't know, nothing is really "amazing". The only songs I really liked a lot were If I Can't Have You, Whyyawannabringmedown, and Long Shot, and My Life Would Suck Without You has grown on me, that catchy chorus is sucking me in :P. Everything else is pretty good but not amazing.

I really thought this song would grow on me, but it hasn't. :( I have all Kelly's CDs, but I'm not sure if I even want the new one.
A few reasons:
It feels like this is something the record company wants her to do. Very manufactured pop, whatever sells. I don't feel like any of her creativity or artistic-ness is in it. Hopefully I'm wrong and the album will be better, I'm only talking about MLWSWY because I haven't heard any of the other tracks yet.
I don't like the song mainly because of the lyrics. If you look at songs like Sober, Irvine, etc, from My December, they're lyrically very deep, amazing songs. All this song seems to be doing is promoting a destructive relationship. And I don't like the fact that the words "united" and "sucks" are in the same paragraph. It just seems stupid and tacky...decide, is it a love song, or a joke? LOL.

That's exactly what it is. Do you follow Kelly much? I don't know if you knew about all the controversy surrounding My December but that was her album - she wrote every song and Clive Davis didn't like so I think he offered her $10 million to trash it and record a new one, but she fought for it and I remember something about making a deal that she would get this album out and then go back to recording the generic pop stuff. I agree about My December, it was an amazing album. I loved seeing her sing the stuff she wanted to and not what the record company wanted her to.

Yeah, I vaguely remember reading about that on the Idol forums around the time it was released. I just think it's sad that she's giving in to what they want now. I'm not sure I want to support that.

She's just keeping up her end of the deal. She pushed and pushed for her last album and did end up getting it. And she did write a lot of this album and have a lot of say in it, it's just not as personal.

Her breakaway album is the best album Kelly has. But my favorite song from her is "The Trouble With Love Is"

Yeah, I like Breakaway better, there isn't a song I don't like on there. I do like this one though, there are a few hit and miss songs for me...favorites are Save You, whyyawannabringmedown, I Do Not Hook Up and All I Ever Wanted. Save You is my absolute favorite :heart: The rest are just okay.
