I like the song Born This Way & I'm excited for her new
album a little bit but I hadn't actually heard the song; I just read the lyrics. But when she performed it I thought it sounded like a Madonna sing but I still like the song. The performance itself was ok, I liked last years better

Yep, I am defensive... of this forum. I have seen people come and bait others for no good reason. I nip that in the bud as soon as I see any indication of trolling or just trying to stir the pot for no good reason.  There is a vast difference between criticizing someone's work and attacking the person. And when all one does is come in and attack the topic at hand, well that's not constructive for anyone.

This should always be a fun, enjoyable place for people to discuss whatever the topic is, not a place for hostility.

Madonna's Brother Blasts Gaga

He previously told our website that he could see a lot of similarities between the two artists but felt that Gaga's strong image was in danger of alienating her fans.

But the copy-cat new single Born This Way has left him scratching his head in disbelief.

Ciccone has had very little contact with Madonna since he penned his 2008 best seller Life With My Sister Madonna.

It remains to be seen if music fans buy or download Lady Gaga's controversial new song.

Madonna's original 1989 hit Express Yourself from her Like A Prayer album reached number two on the Billboard charts and was a major hit around the world.

Not so sure about Born This Way (the song). It's not bad by all means just not my favorite GaGa song ever.

I must be the only person that thinks this but I think 3 seconds of Born this way and at the end of course sounds like "Express Yourself" nothing else....I totally love it and much prefer to "express yourself" although all Hail Madonnas classic, Gaga is a classic in her own right

I don't like the video at all. The intro is cool and everything but when the song starts it just gets boring. My least fav vid of hers.

The song grew off me a lot, too. It's just not that strong. I can't wait for Judas, the second single. From what's been described it sounds amazing.

Most be the only country. Lady Gaga is much higher in most charts.
In the Netherlands Gaga hit #1, while Britney didn't even reach the Top 30...

I always find it hard to love these types artists, i usually just like them, im a sucker for amazing voices (celine, sarah brightman, whitney, shania, mariah) and then i adore pop but it either fits a  strict mold i have set for pop or they dont, madonna britney, and other foreign pop artists fit this mold for me, pop, techno, trance electronic are probably my favorite genres, but i just cant seem to get crazy over gaga, i realize her music is catchy while having an actual message, but in the end i think its her fans, like with other artists that break the deal for me. Sometimes fans in attempts to get you to like their artist just end up making you find them annoying, not that i find her annoying, i just dont really care for her. however my friend cody ADORES HER, he always performs her songs at the drag shows here in town, to the extent to where hes becoming our local version of gaga lol.

Here Born This Way has sold & charted better on billboard and on the radio.
Also broke iTunes records. All sorts of things
As much as I love Brit, it's undeniable that GaGa's single has been doing better.
