I'm a huge taylor swift fan and I just wanted to know who likes her and who thinks she overrated? I like her because her songs are good and she has a great voice. She also writtes all her songs and she's accomplished so much in so little time, plus she's just 18. Fearless to me, is one of the best albums of 2008 and 11 on 13 songs from the album charted on the billboard hot 100 (the 2 others charted on the bubbling). That's a record and I don't know any other artist that can pull that off. Congrats Taylor and I hope of seing her win at the AMA.

I love some of Taylor's songs & she is such a good song writer!
I agree about the love story video, definitely her best and I absolutely LOVE it!
Although, singing live has never been her strongest point lol.

ok first of all, for her age and her having a personal hand in her work - I like her.  I think she's a beautiful young girl with some talent.  

but on the other hand I'm getting so tired of the praise that's being heaped on her.  from so many shocking places such as rolling stone.  this girl couldn't be further from rock and roll.  they bash celine for singing songs with banal lyrics, but this girl's lyrics are the epitome of banal and unoriginal.  from the first time I heard "teardrops on my guitar" I almost choked from the sweetness/cheeziness of the lyrics.  the only difference is that she wrote hers while celine hired some expensive songwriters.

don't get me wrong.  I LOVE sweetness and banal cheezy #ss lyrics.  I'm a celine fan for god's sakes. thus I also find some of taylor's songs catchy.  I just am not understanding the double standard when it comes to the so-called hipster critics praising taylor swift yet bashing ppl like celine.

I guess maybe they accept the sugar sweetness and cheeziness of taylor's lyrics because she's just a naive young girl now..and expecting her to grow and mature with time.  but either way I think she's overrated.

I sorta liked her for a little bit, but then reality struck me and I realized that she's quite b o r i n g.


She sounds like a drunk karaoke singer in that performance of "You Should Have Said No."

i so love LeAnn Rimes! i have all her cds. Shania Twain used to be my all-time favorite country artist, but her absence made me realize how brilliant as an artist LeAnn Rimes is. she's incredible! "Blue" is one of the best country debut albums ever! (if not the best) and not to mention she's so pretty.

I can't believe Taylor didn't get nominated for this years grammy. The Jonas Brothers got nominated for best new artist. WTF, it's a f******* disney band. Leona or even Katy Perry should of been nominated in that category instead.

OMG what was i thinking?      

i'm loving her music. sure she's not the best live performer out there, but she's one of the most talented young stars around. Fearless is a decent record. i love Fearless, White Horse, Fifteen, You Belong With Me, Hey Stephen, Change and The Best Day. i just don't like the highly processed vocals of the album. she sounds like a robot in a lot of her songs, and her songs can't seem to hide her age. but all in all, it's a good teen album (the album hardly have a country sound. it's more of a teen-pop album, not country).

oh and she did a great job on designing the album booklet.
