Oh no...I hope her voice is well at least...she needs to take it easy, and I know that will be hard for her.

Céline modifie son spectacle pour Ottawa

Céline Dion reprendra sa tournée, ce soir, à Ottawa, après avoir annulé quelques spectacles prévus aux États-Unis - dont celui de Chicago, mardi, soir d'élections américaines - au cours de la dernière semaine. Si la diva doit présenter la version anglophone de Taking Chances, celle-ci a toutefois subi «quelques modifications pour tenir compte du nombre de francophones qui seront présents à la Place Banque Scotia», a confirmé au Droit le vice-président, direction artistique des Productions Feeling, Mario Lefebvre, hier.

«Ce ne sera pas le spectacle de Montréal, mais ce ne sera pas non plus celui qu'elle présentera à Indianapolis le surlendemain. René et Céline sont très conscients que la grande région d'Ottawa-Gatineau compte plusieurs francophones et ils ont adapté la soirée en conséquence», a-t-il renchéri.

Il reste des billets

Céline Dion ne montera pas sur scène devant une salle totalement comble, toutefois, puisqu'il reste encore «quelques billets». Il était encore possible de trouver des paires de billets à 195 $ l'unité, en matinée, hier.

Quant à l'état de santé de la chanteuse, Mario Lefebvre a soutenu qu'elle avait profité des derniers jours pour se reposer, comme le lui avaient prescrit ses médecins. Victime d'une infection du nasopharynx depuis plus d'une semaine, la diva québécoise était toutefois présente à Montréal, dimanche soir, pour recevoir son Félix hommage, dans le cadre du 30e Gala de l'ADISQ.

«Elle a profité de cette soirée, qui n'avait évidemment rien à voir avec une prestation de deux heures sur scène, entendons-nous, a souligné M. Lefebvre. Céline a pris du mieux et se sent prête à reprendre la route pour cette importante tranche de tournée en Amérique du Nord.»

D'ici au 18 décembre, 17 spectacles, incluant trois représentations au Mexique, sont à l'horaire de la chanteuse.

Pour son passage dans la capitale fédérale, Céline Dion présentera donc une version anglophone revampée de Taking Chances.

Dans la liste des succès que l'interprète enfile habituellement dans le cadre de cette version de son spectacle, une seule pièce en français se trouve au menu, soit Pour que tu m'aimes encore, signée par Jean-Jacques Goldman.

Lors de sa série de prestations au centre Bell, en août dernier, Céline Dion avait remplacé cette chanson par J'irai où tu iras, Destin, S'il n'en restait qu'une, Ziggy, L'amour existe encore, Dans un autre monde, Je sais pas et S'il suffisait d'aimer.

Mario Lefebvre n'a pas voulu s'avancer sur le nombre de titres en français qu'elle pourrait livrer ce soir, «mais il y en aura assurément plus qu'un».

Une chose est toutefois certaine : c'est sur les chapeaux de roue que Céline Dion entame chacun de ses spectacles, avec un «remix» d'I Drove All Night.

Brown en première partie

Comme pour ses représentations aux États-Unis et au Canada anglais, c'est à l'humoriste et imitateur originaire d'Ottawa Gordie Brown, et non à la Franco-Ontarienne Véronic DiCaire, que le clan Angélil-Dion a offert d'assumer la première partie du spectacle de ce soir.

Entreprise le 14 février dernier, à Johannesbourg, en Afrique du Sud, la tournée Taking Chances se terminera le 15 février 2009, au centre Bell de Montréal.

OMG, look at the tracklist they publish in a very serious newspaper of Ottawa! I guess it's a mistake.. Maybe Mario said it will be the regular tracklist and they took that from Wikipedia..

hahah this is totally weird, but I was taking a nap and I had a dream that there was a volcano eruption in Ottowa and when I found out the first thing I did was check the forum and make sure the concert wasnt canceled for you guys. Lol. Totally random, I know. Anyway, have fun tonight guys!

hey guys

I'm on my way back from the show. It was amazing! Celine was in great shape and seemed happy to be back on stage. She sang about 6 songs in French. I'll post more details later when I get home.

oh and she didn't sing the queen songs and taking chances. I guess because she added all those French songs. She did sing to love you more, because you love me and it's all coming back though.

Thanks mcbg1, oh how I'm missing my Celine...ok, our Celine...sorry! Excellent that Celine's better and that she seemed to have a great time in Ottawa. C'est un bonne nuit a l'Ontario!!!!!   She left Ottawa about 10 mins ago and will be back home at about midnight! Good night Celine...luv ya!

it's weird she cut out taking chances...since thats the name of the tour...and she sang it in montreal too. hmm, maybe because it's live? I'm not trying to cause drama haha, just wondering if maybe she still wasn't feeling well voice wise. The queen medley is also one of the live parts with some harder notes. She sang that in Montreal as well. Just random changes I guess.
