I agree with you. I think Kelly over screamed the notes. although her performance is not too bad. and they both only sang half of I surrender, not the full song.

I like Anthony Fedorov's voice. I think he's a great singer.  I didn't like his version of "I Surrender" very much... Of course it's always good when somebody sings Celine's songs because it makes everybody remember her. But the theme was "Songs from 2000 to 2005" so when Ryan Seacret (the host) said Anthony was gonna sing Celine Dion I was expecting him to sing something like "A New Day Has Come". Maybe he would've done better...

I'll have to agree with you. The voting proccess is not fair. But it's also not a problem. I guess people who vote pay attention to what the judges say and they vote according to that. The only problem is that people do whatever Simon tell them to.
But the show is great! I'm a fan!

here's too for New Zealand Idol too there was a girl sang think twice, she did quite good but then she didn't make it through i should say the people didn't let her go through........

also for like American Idol there was one girl sang The power of love and i think she's alright but she didn't make it through.... it's shocking...

but anyway now NZ idol is coming up ...
maybe i should go and try but it's too late now.. hahhaa
if i go i'll sing Can't help falling in love with you Celine's version...

I don't think that girl did a good job... In my opinion, when an American Idol singer is gonna sing a song by any other artist, he/she should be original. What that girl did was a bad imitation of Celine. She didn't show originality or personality. I admit she has a good voice and is a good singer. I just didn't like that performance in particular. It didn't stand out.
But, once again, it's always great to hear Celine songs on TV! :-)

Do you remember what Paula Abdul said right after the girl finished singing? She said something like: "Singing Celine's songs is really difficult!". :-) That's because Celine is unique, and she puts all of her feelings in her songs. So it's hard to sing a Celine's song and do it better that she would do.

HELLO!  I COULD NOT SEE THE VERSION THAT SONG THAT BOY OF CELINE DION BECAUSE I AM IN ARGENTINA AND HERE THAT PROGRAM NOT TRANSMITS IT, BUT HERE IN ARGENTINA WAS OPERATION TRIUNGO ARGENTINA VERSION, AND A GIRL THAT NAME IS ANDREA BELA SONG THE SUBJECT "MY HEART WILL GO ON" OF CELINE DION AND DID IT OF A WONDERFUL WAY.  
STEP LINK THUS SEES THE VIDEO THEM AND THINKS AS IT SANG IT.  

IT IS "ANDREA BELA" SIMPLY GOES WHERE SAYS "MY HEART WILL GO" ON AND SEES HIM VIDEO AND SAID THAT SEEMED TO THEM.

So you don't have the transmission of American Idol in Argentina?! Neither on cable TV?!?!
I'm a big fan of American Idol! Not sure if you're interested, but you can find the performances and download them from www.watchidol.com. It's a great site. You can download WMV videos of every performance. I watch the show every week and after I finish watching, I go straight to this website and download my favorite performances!
