I can't stop thinking of my Céline experiences. I haven't been listening to any of my Céline CDs because it might make me cry so much. Just when I think I'm starting to feel a little bit better I get

I hope I'm getting better little by little. Yesterday went quite alright, though this morning I'm feeling a little blue again, I think mornings are always the worst.
I'm attending to another concert on Monday evening, and I fear it's too soon after Céline's.. Originally when I got those tickets, I didn't yet know Céline was coming to Finland only a week before, if I had known, I wouldn't be going to this one now. Fortunately it's not in the same arena!! That would bring back too much memories!
And I know I'm crazy, but I'm seriously thinking about saving money for Fort Lauderdale on January.. It feels a bit impossible cause it's so far and costs a lot, but if I save ALL the money I can get from summerjob, then, maybe there's a chance...

When they first announced on the radio in South Africa that Celine was coming I almost dropped my coffee cup in shock. I had always wished that I could see Celine in concert but never dreamed it would actually happen.
I was so excited. I could only afford a cheaper ticket though so I was quite far from the front but I still loved every minute as Celine's voice sounded amazing. That was in february and I still have PGB as I am dying to see her again but in the front row *sigh*
I have to try relive it again by watching tour footage on youtube but it is not the same. I am hoping that i will one day see her live again. Im going to save up and hope that if Celine goes back to Vegas I can go there to see the show.
I feel your pain guys
People who have seen her more than once on this tour are very lucky !!!!!!!!!

I love Celine!!!!!!!!!!

I ride dressage (training and 1st level), and I have an irish thoroughbred mare. She's 15 years old and her name is "Toy". What kind of riding do you do?
Ah...is bad that sometimes I don't want to listen to Celine because I miss her so much? I am fortunate to have seen her 3 times in one week, and I'm still in shock that I got to hug and kiss her lol...but the thought of it makes me want to cry. Ahh....I want to go to Montreal so bad! The idea of having another show to go to, even if it's a long ways away keeps me going.

Me too! Although it's been almost 4 months now (wow I didn't even realize it until I just wrote it!) I do feel that I still haven't completely recovered from the concert night. I think about it so much, and talk about it a lot too. And just MISS her so much!!
It's so frustrating too cause you can't really express your feelings to anyone, how much the night meant to you, how much Céline means to you etc. cause people wouldn't understand unless they're not fans.
Hopefully the DVD would be released soon. Then we can relive those moments again, and cry.

It's good to know I'm not the only one. Words cannot describe how much I miss Céline and I think I will never completely recover from seeing her live. And you're so right, non-fans don't understand this at all. Watching the DVD will make me cry so much.

Post-traumatic Celine Dion Concert (or PTCDC)-
(I realized this turned out to be quite a long post- To save your eyes, please feel free to scroll to the bottom and read the summary)
There are many “emotions” that the fan experiences pre-concert through post-concert-
Pre-Concert:
As a Celine Dion fan, the excitement begins when rumors start to swirl about a possible upcoming world tour. You become glued to fan forums like this one and google everything possible about Celine, looking for confirmation. Is it possible? Could Celine be touring close enough that “if I could”, I may see her, one, two, three, thirty-three times (for some of you out there)? Although the fan becomes excited during this stage, they protect themselves from completely believing, thus avoiding a total meltdown if the rumors are not true.
Next is the confirmation from the mothership of CelineDion.com- It’s true! Celine is touring! We then begin to work hard earning the funds to reach our goal. Sometimes we drain our bank accounts in order to have enough money to buy “simply the best” seats in as many cities as possible (many fans even cross several borders to see our Celine). If that fails, some of us may lie, beg, cheat, and steal (hey “if that’s what it takes” right?)!
Many fans use the pre-sales to secure the best tickets and some camp out online at the exact moment tickets go on-sale to the public. Regardless, the fans are the first ones to scoop up tickets for the opportunity to see their idol. Many times, we have our tickets months in advance of the show date. Now the wait is on-
I know I become excited the month of the event- This is where the fan starts hitting the CelineDionForum again for exclusive news, pictures, videos, and sounds from other fan experiences. This generates excitement again, for your own personal experience. “You and I” may not be able to tolerate the anticipation.
The day of the show, many fans “drove all night” from “here, there, and everywhere” to arrive at their venue. Some fans spend the time before the show sightseeing, shopping, grabbing dinner/drinks, or calming their nerves (once again, drinks will help here). The super fan will scout out Celine’s hot spots for their own fan experience!
During the show, I think fan reactions vary- Some dance, sing along, watch the show from the fetal position, inform other less knowledgeable concertgoers everything there is to know about Celine. Once again, some may try to have their own fan experience attempting to meet their idol or some of her crew! Either way, the culmination of joy and elation happens at the concert itself.
My friends, we are now Post-Concert- We have already hit the peak of our high during the concert and we must begin the slow descent. “The show must go on” there is no avoiding it. For me at the post-concert stage, I like to immediately get my favorite Celine music playing in the car and will sing-a-long from parking garage “all the way” back home. When at the home destination, the super fan will come back to the CelineDionForum to share their review, pictures, videos, and chat with other super fans. If you are fortunate enough, you’ll be able to fall asleep and dream of our sweet, sweet Celine (I usually dream that I am her personal assistant, lol). The next 24-48 hours, will be spent slowly withdrawing from your Celine concert. The fan will experience mixed emotions, once again, sharing them all on the CelineDionForum.
For me, the next days that follow will be spent contemplating my next concert. I will be searching for tickets for the next closest show and will come close to pulling the trigger on buying them. However, reality hits- either you are out of money, need to work/go to school, or have other commitments. As soon as she came, Celine has now left the immediate area.
This is where the fan will hit their deepest, saddest, most depressing feelings. “Goodbye’s the saddest word”. Rock bottom occurs approximately “ten days” post concert. The fan may withdraw from all things Celine, including the forum. You may concentrate more on your daily life, start listening to other artists, and begin feeling like you may never feel so wonderful again. The way you felt when you saw our Celine “up close and personal”. As time passes, the fan begins to arise from the “shadow of love”. Your feelings start to level out and become midline. You start listening to Celine again and participate on the Forum.
The fan starts to live vicariously through other fans and their experiences. The true fan can appreciate and empathize with the lucky ones that are attending the latest concerts. You have come at peace with the fact that your latest Celine experience is over and it seems like “another year has gone by”. You know what? You are okay with that. The super fan will encourage others to try as hard as they can to have their own experience. The fan has now crossed beyond hardest times and has almost fully recovered from PTCDC. I say almost, because there can be a regression from time to time, but it is much easier to get by now.
Sidenote: If you are a fan fortunate enough to have your own encounter with Celine or crew (handshake, picture, wink, finger point, salute, kiss, autograph, verbal message), this experience will exacerbate all of the aforementioned feelings and will extend the duration of recovery.
Now the super fan starts planning their trip to Montreal in February of 2009 to see Celine’s last concert of the tour!!!!
Summary:
The Celine fan experiences many ups and downs that comes along with a Celine
Experience/Concert, culminating during the concert itself. The most difficult to deal with is the free fall of emotions within the few days to a few weeks after the Celine experience. Some fans may become literally and seriously depressed, which is now known as Post Traumatic Celine Dion Concert (PTCDC). I just want everyone to know that we are all here “in some small way” to help our friends come through this condition with a positive upswing.
Please share your own thoughts and experiences on how you feel coming off the “Celine high”. How do you cope and get through?
