Anniversaries for albums happen when there's not much going on. They have much bigger fish to fry right now like a new French album, English album, summer tour etc...

They'll do a 25th anniversary if they have time...

True, but one thing does not eliminate the other, Céline is with Sony Music, which is one of the biggest record labels out there, and Sony has more than enough daughter companies like Legacy Recordings which could perfectly release this kind of material while she's promoting something else. Sony already released the "Collector's editions" for TAST and ANDHC in 2007 and 2008 and she was right in the middle of her TC album release and world tour, so... They could have done something similar for FIY, Unison etc.

Because let's be honest, if any "anniversary" album release were to happen, Céline would do 0 promotion to support it, it would be a work for the record label here, more than her

I half wondered if FIY was removed from iTunes and Spotify because they were planning to do a re-release of it!

Yes, it was unfortunate timing because it happened right before her appearances on The Today Show and Jimmy Fallon. Her sales surely would have been boosted if the album was still available on iTunes.

It's her best album too! Or my fav. I was looking for "If That's What It Takes" the other day on Spotify when a friend wanted to listen. I have everything on my iTunes Account, but I thought it was strange that I didn't find it. There must be a reason why it's gone.

Maybe another reason this re-release did not occur is that the album has already been re-released and used as part of collections. But even if that's the case, I still think they could have released some previously unreleased material, maybe demo versions of songs, more behind the scenes footage and Celine commenting on the album and the tour. Most fans would be satisfied with such release IMO.

Do we know of any unreleased tracks from FIY? I know Is Nothing Sacred was cut from LTAL...

I think the Phil Spector recordings were supposed to be included in FIY (or whatever the name of the album would be...).

There is unreleased track for every album for sure... she always record much more songs than we have on the final album. They should release Falling into you with bonus track and a dvd live from the stadium & the videoclip, recording sessions, celine interview commenting every song of the album and a booklet of pictures from that era omg it would be a dream!

Well, if you meant this - it's still online. But 1) the sound is muted on songs, because of copyright probably 2) she's lipping to the studio tracks. If there was any other footage - I'm eager to hear about it

20 years ago Celine was No2 at Billboard and TOP TEN all over the world with IACBTMN (The stupid Macarena-song was No1). And FIY was No1 at Billboard.
This song and the video are a masterpiece.

When I think of Celine's video for IACBTMN, I always think of Georg.
Because during the shoots, they played his album Older on the set.

For years and years I really disliked the song Because You Loved Me. I thought it was such a needy song about a drippy weak person. One day it finally clicked with me that the song didn't have to be a romantic love song. It could be about the love of anyone. A friend or a relative. And when I thought of it that way I liked the song a whole lot more.

As for Your Light, I still like that one and Celine is totally channelling Alanis Morrissette on that one! It's so '90s! Falling Into You is in my opinion her greatest album.
It flows very well and even the weaker songs fit the theme and feel of the album. The production is beautiful. It compliments Celine's voice so well and I love all the instrumentation.

Alanis, Shania also, Canadian women were really queen of music in that time. And Sarah McLachan and Lorenna McKennit.

Listening to Falling Into You all the way through tonight. And God I love the arrangements on these songs almost as much as Celine's perfect vocals. It's so well produced compared to her later stuff. All the instruments, she didn't really ever do that again. I love the saxophone, the bongos, all the different guitars the piano. It's all so lush, and some gorgeous backing vocals on it too. It's just perfect!

Those were the times in which each and every song in her albums were treated almost as a whole new mini album, in terms of production. They gave their best to each song

All the songs are little epics. So much bland/middle of the road stuff now. She needs to get some serious power ballads! I don't care what's cool or what everyone else is doing. People want epic ballads from Celine Dion. And they want new ones.

There were better concerts to release than Live In Memphis (While the Live A Paris version of Le ballet is a masterpiece what she did on Live In Memphis made her look ridiculous). Anyway it deserves a HD release. Some concerts in Montreal were recorded and she sang the whole Call The Man and It's All Coming Back To Me Now. There's also footage from her concerts of the stadium tour in 1997 (there's a video for BYLM on youtube and a documentary broadcast in Quebec with footage from Amsterdam and Brussels).

There must be a handful of unreleased tracks, too.

Her best album, best quality in voice, instruments, arrangements from start to finish. Sadly, it didn't become a classic... it basically stopped selling after The Titanic era ended and hardly ever showed up on any back catalogue chart.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Diane Warren said somewhere that she wrote BYLM about her father.  I know exactly what you mean though, disliked the song for many years until I heard her say it was about her Dad and just recently with Rene's passing I listen to it with a different perspective.
