Everytime I think about this song....I can't help but think it would be a HIT....it just hasn't caught fire yet. If it ever caught fire, then it would explode! I think it's just a mixture of a video that didn't match the song and not the perfect time for it to be on the radio.....

I really think this song still has so much potential.....It can catch on fire in the new year. Sony needs to continue to market it to hot ac and POP formats. There are so many people I know that LOVE this song, but are just starting to hear it.

I met a friend of mine recently and she knows I love Celine... so she told me that she really likes Taking Chances. She's not a fan of Celine at all but she always admits that she has a wonderful voice. I dont think she would buy the album but she's curious about the other songs. I think a lot of people think the same.

Even though the single is not doing that well on the chart, but I think many people do enjoy this song, including people that weren't interested in the ballad Celine. Even on youtube, we do see quite a number of young teens filming themselves singing this song. So this song may not be pushing people to buy the album immediately, but I think it is still doing its work....like slowly building a foundation for the more current Celine. And if the next single captures these people's heart again, then they will be more likely to go out and buy the album, and change their old-conception of the ballad-Celine.
Even for Top40 radio stations, after Taking Chances, I think more Top 40 radios will have an open-mind on Celine and for her next single.

at first, i didn't like the song...but since i'm a celine fan and everyday i used to play it, i then find myself enjoying everybeat. i think..this song needs a little more time for some celine non-fan to adjust with...for them to realize that celine could even rock their world!
