Sony CAN make superb special editions as we have seen the past.  The quite superb special edition of 1F&4T is a masterpiece as were all the different version of the greatest hits collection ONCP and they surpassed themselves with D'elles - the only mistake they made there was releasing all 3 editions at the same time - so they can do it.

Remember the one and only special edition they have released so far in English? 2 new songs you could only listen to in a DVD player, and a short 10 min documentary on Las Vegas. They need to do better with the English releases. Take this opportunity Sony. Please!

However Shaun, even though the french special editions have been very fine they have missed one important thing: English subtitles. This is worth repeating: her English releases has French subtitles on them but the French have none (except French in some...). And releasing all edtions of D'Elles on the same time is not a bad mistake, that way fans can choose which version they want and which suits their wallet, and not milking every penny from the fans as they did with the ONCP editions.

Yes they screw up with her English special releases - dubbing the TCOML concert with the studio tracks   .

The only release which I think SONY has done well is the ACDS DVD - the extra material here is superb! With recording sessions from both LTAL and SISDA - no English subtitles however...

And we shall not mention the AND... LIL fiasco.

I really didn't have much expectations for this new TAST release, but they have managed to bring something that is even below my low expectations. Remastered tracks, from a CD?   (If they wanna remaster a cd it should be Celine Dion from 1992, it has horrible sound quality). And this TV show which has been viewed by every fan and most non-fans. Nothing is added to the show, no cut performances. And the duet with Andrea Bocelli wasn't even live.

And even though I didn't want to, many others did, and it is embarrasing that they don't even include I Met An Angel On Christmas Day.

Every Céline fan should be insulted by a release such as this - they take us for fools.

If any CBS special should be released it should be the ANDHC special, this was an important concert, it was her come back. And it should include all the excluded performances and the undubbed performance of GTSW.

And to those who didn't get it I was being sarcastic in my last post in this thread. I can't see why any would want the Live In Memphis concert on DVD. There is a lot unreleased Céline material that is far more exiting than a concert we already have on VHS.

I agree on everything but i don't have the Memphis VHS and i wouldn't buy a VHS anymore so i hope that the Live in Memphis DVD will also be released in Greece so i can buy it (Only TCOML and ATW DVDs have been released here)

But we have the Olympia concert almost already, and hasn't it been broadcasted on TV? (I could be wrong here), and even though it is a great concert still there are things which we have nothing from. Live in Chicago.... now we're talking.

I neither see the use of releasing Live In Memphis in DVD, its not her best concert, many songs were edited and well, for what's worth the DVD release? Will they add bonus material in it, or leave it a crap like they did with the Live À Paris DVD? If they add something that make it worth, like 5.1 sound(yeah, that's not an extra for the rest of the singers but it is for Céline Dion releases ), bonus videos or videoclips, I will be the first to agree that release, but if they only release just the concert, without any effort to improve the quality image and sound, any extras etc, what's the exciting in this release? I mean, I don't want the VHS to be placed only in a DVD case like they did with LAP, I want it to be really a DVD release that makes it worth, like every fan here I suppose.

And the CBS special for ANDHC would be fine, but ONLY if they release the FULL special, including Aún Existe Amor. Because if they dare to release it someday and they keep deleting this spanish song from it, I prefer not to have it. We still don't know the video of that spanish performance after 5 years

Yea, if I remember I correct I have watched that. But I think it was playback/dubbed over with studio track. Look for it on mIRC!

But I have read a review from someone who was in the audience during the taping of the 2002 CBS Special, and many songs were cut out, I believe almost every track on ANDHC was performed, I read something about Ten Days and RIFOY beeing performed. They were cut out before the concerst was broadcasted.

But perhaps we should get back to topic: it's a shame that the TAST CBS Special didn't have any cut out performance to be included on this coming release. But if it had we'd probobly only be upset about it since it would probably not be included anyway.

I don't know how works mIRC , but its strange nobody has that video though some people says that the full special was broadcasted sometime in the german TV.

I also remember that RIFOY was performed

"Right In Front Of You" was not performed for the CBS special for "A New Day Has Come."  I was at the taping and this song did NOT get performed.  "Ten Days," "Aun existe amor," and "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)" were the numbers excluded from the television version.  Celine actually talked in Spanish to the audience before introducing "Aun existe amor."  It was very cute.  Also, in between takes some of Celine's older music videos were shown on the oval screen.  Plus, "Have You Ever Been In Love" had to be shot twice due to a technical glitch.  There were a few other interesting things that went on during that taping.  I even got her autograph afterwards.  Very cool.  She also shot some international television plugs for the special.

Not being of Hispanic origins and not knowing how to speak Spanish I can only guess and assume what she was saying.  It was probably something to the degree of that she hopes to someday learn the language more in depth and record songs in the language more in depth.  I know that in English she said that she was going to learn more about the Spanish language when her schedules permitted her to do so.

I'm sorry I don't know more than that.  Maybe if there is somebody else on here that does know how to speak Spanish they'll be able to tell you more than I can.
