I don't know why this topic still exists. There are no moderators it seems, so why should I pay them for "running" the forum, when they are doing absolutely nothing recently. Or am I wrong and they are still active? If so, show that you are still care for this forum, update it with new pics, make it more modern if possible etc

It was temporarily shut down due to having to switch the website to host servers that were cheaper. Koolan made a post saying that there was a lack of donations sufficient to fund on the previous servers, so they downgraded. As a result, I think some storage was lost and some files may not be avail. for download anymore? Not sure exactly...

Hi there. Even though we aren't active as much as before, the monthly bills still have to be paid in order to keep the forum online. I want to update the banner on the top as well and perhaps a new skin. If anyone wants to make a banner, feel free to post it here or make a new topic in Graphics section. Thank you.

Is there a certain monthly amount that needs to be met in order to restore the forum to servers with more capacity? I would hate for a lot of archived files to be lost forever. The Forum really is a valuable historical resource for Celine fans.

It's about $350 for a reliable server, which also includes domain names, backup, license renewal, and other miscellaneous costs. We have great news, member, tshlw has provided us storage to upload files so more files will be online again in the coming days.

Would a reliable server also be secure? I have had trouble for years with my internet browsers telling me the Forum is an insecure site.

No, the message is due to the site not using SSL to encrypt the traffic. It was not common back in the early days of the forum. It isn't a big deal if you're not using public wifi, can also use a VPN for more security. I will look into it, as there is no official support for the old version of this forum.

I mean, it's not the security so much as accessibility. My internet browser often times wouldn't even let me pass, or visit the main forum via a direct link. I'd have to Google the forum and click on the results leading to a specific topic or subforum. Which usually was solved by using Incognito Mode, but that's also a hassle. And nowadays, it's just logging me out randomly too -- even from Incognito Mode.

But I suppose that's the cost of upholding a stable forum started back in earlier days of the internet, and keeping it going strong. It's nice to have this space as an archive and continuing place for all things Celine.

I I am not familiar with PayPal, but I’m considering getting it so that I can donate monthly to this forum. As long as PayPal is accessible with screen reading software, I’ll try to start setting my account up. I would like to pay at least $20 every month, maybe $40 some months. Hopefully I can use my debit card.

Try allowing 3rd party cookies for the forum. It seems the newer versions of  Chrome is more aggressive on those. It seemed to work for me so far.

Not sure of a better thread to put this question in but I noticed while looking at someones profile it shows they had added me as a friend. Is there a way I can see who my friends are on my profile? I’m on an iPhone
