Is this edition that photos are above 1CD edition or CD+DVD edition?
Because I don't catch it...

its just the 1 cd album but opens as 3 if you look at the pics you`ll see what i mean i didnt see the point of buying 2 cd/dvd as i have the cd/dvd on order here in the uk.xx

Can someone PLEASE clarify!!

Wal-Mart is releasing a version of TC with "The Sessions" DVD, and Amazon is releasing the Deluxe CD/DVD with the A New Day footage.  So does that mean the Wal-Mart one will not have the A New Day footage and the Amazon one will not have the Sessions???

I'm guessing WAL-MART will stock the Standard Edition as well as the packaged Standard edition with Sessions DVD.  They might have a limited amout of the CD+AND Preview DVD.  But don't count on it.

'Gutsy' Celine presents her new edgy album

Her distinctive, ballad-heavy style has proved to be a winning formula for musical success, keeping her records flying off the shelves year after year. Now fans of Celine Dion are set to see a whole new side to the Canadian songbird, when her new album showcases a new, edgy sound.

The CD, titled Taking Chances, features collaborations with some of the coolest talents from the song writing world. Among them are Timbaland, who has worked with the likes of Missy Elliot and Justin Timberlake, R&B king R Kelly, and Christina Aguilera and Pink co-writer Linda Perry.

Lyrically speaking, it is also a departure from her usual love song territory, containing a joint effort with goth rocker and former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody which contains an anti-domestic violence message.

Other highlights of the new work - which goes on sale on November 12 in Europe and the rest of the world the day after - include a Kylie-esque disco-inspired song Shadow Of Love and the title track, a collaboration with former Eurythmics band member Dave Stewart which has a lyrical snip from his hit Here Comes The Rain Again woven into it.

"I think this album represents a positive evolution in my career," says Celine - who this week was in Italy, where she performed tracks from her new disc on TV. "These days, I'm feeling strong… maybe a little gutsier than in the past… and just as passionate about life and music as I ever was."

i pre-ordered a collectors edition plus TC single from UK on amazon so that won't arrive until mid december. so i think i am gonna go out and buy the cheapie copy of TC album just to listen to in the car. Can't wait til next week!!!! Can't wait to blast This Time as i just can't get enough of the song!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taking Chances, The Edge Album????

No sorry! I dont think so. You are wrong. Why the want to sale Taking Chances as an edgy album and a new Céline , because is not true. If you want to sale a lot albums you must not lay.
After listen a few times the album I don´t see a new Céline, I just see some nice songs with boring songs and covers. You announce a big producer, Ne-Yo and then you put a slow song (very bad), you announce B. Moody and then you put just a nice song as This time and then a cover and a ballad song that nobody will listen (except fans and people from Japan). If you like Linda Perry just make a tribute album to Linda Perry... but if you want a make a new album you have to take risks. I put the exemple of Nelly Furtado with Loose. A better album would be made including Shadow of love, This time, Fade away,... with more songs like that, aswell some ballads as always. At this moment I prefer ANDHC, I find this album in the middle of ANDHC and One heart and she must be after One heart. At least we have some jewels in the album as Surprise Surprise!

You've got to remember Fran, to the general public Celine is still the power ballad singer. To some she'll always just be the Titanic singer.  So it's understandable the media are calling the album "edgy."

Some songs on this album do show Celine in a completely different light artistically, maybe not to most of us, but certainly to the music listening public. Heck even to the fans "That's Just The Woman In Me" was a bit of a shock.

Taking Chances means a new Celine to people that doesn't know her very well, people who never have listened to One Heart or A New Day Has Come, or to songs like Your Light or I Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way, so they see Celine like the old romantic ballads singer, but for fans, who really knows Celine Dion and her songs this new album is not so edgy like they say. It's still Celine, her style, of course there are good songs, some really fresh and young,but it's not a strong change, nothing too much different than the album A New Day Has Come.
With all this great producers she could have done adgier songs...but she kept it low.
Don't get me wrong I like Taking Chaces but the real change I see is the look in Celine pics, a stronger one, sexier and fashionable not in the songs.
Still I think that this album has a great potential and can sell very well it's all up to the promotion now and to Celine of course!

Perhaps I'll need to take a trip to Circuit City... Wait a minute... We don't have Circuit City... I've only seen "The Source" (By Circuit City) but they don't sell CDs... all they have is electronics.

That's great they are offering good deals for the cd, hopefully it'll entice people to buy it while
they're strolling around the store.  I haven't seen a ton of promotion for alicia keys new cd, so maybe
Taking Chances will do well.  Alicia's No One is getting decent airplay in the NYC area tho.

From what my fiance told me (I think he either saw it on this site or he read it somewhere on line...) Walmart has a really cheap price for the CD/DVD and I guess the DVD has "exclusive" behind the seens stuff that is only available at Walmart.

I got so excited today!  I went over to the fye and i know the managers there, i'm the assistant manager of the bookstore right across from them. And they had media signs for taking chances and he told me they were mine after the promotion was over!! Its going to be great walking by that store looking at Celine in the windows and knowing that when they're taken down...they'll be in my apartment!!!
