I can remember 30 years ago (when I was a kid) like it was last week. But my memories of what I did a month ago are hazy at best. Old age.

Me too - I remember a few highlights of the shows I went and that’s about it. Videos help bring the memories back.

I remember going to A New Day… in 2005. And I remember being mesmerized by the mirror shattering and the image of Celine walking down the stairs. And I remember a few songs in thinking how fast the show was going. And I remember The Power of Love and My Heart Will Go On.

Does anybody here know if River Deep, Mountain High was included in the first couple legs of the tour? Almost every Setlist shows it, but it was not included in the Montreal TV, special, or the Jones Beach bootleg, yet example for the Jones Beach Setlist it’s mentioned there. Maybe I need to revisit the Jones beach bootleg again to see if there’s a noticeable cut between Falling Into You and Seduces Me?

I wonder how many fans on here attended the world tour. I saw it in Montreal, not sure what year it was, but I remember it was on Mother’s Day because Maman Dion was in the audience and Celine paid her hommage. And René was sitting 2 rows right in front of me. I remember people (mostly older ladies) would come up to him to say Hi. And my parents told me to go, but I was too shy. It was my first concert ever, and other than these few things, I dont remember much about rest of the show.

I saw TCWT in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Maman Dion also attended that show. I had floor seats but she was up on the side.

I attended this tour in Amsterdam on June 18th 1997. It was my first Celine concert and it was amazing and in a big stadium. Just remember some snippets, it’s so long ago. ��

I wish I could’ve attended her earlier tours. I’m only 21, so I was only able to see the Courage tour, but I did see her on my birthday.

I attended this tour in Metz, France in october 1996...and I remember eyery second of it

I saw the FIY tour in Rotterdam in October 96 and a not even a year later in June 97 in Amsterdam.

In Rotterdam she did two consecutive dates and the second one she included one of my favorite tracks from D'Eux (Les derniers seront les premiers) for a TV show in France. Unfortunately I attended the first one... It was my first concert ever, went with my dad (who loved The Corrs who were Céline's support act), and I only clearly remember the All by myself-note, B&B and IACBTMN. And how fast it all went by...

In Amsterdam I had terrible seats in the back of the stadium, second wing, but I loved the choir that joined her for CTM and TPOTD.

In 99 when she came back to Amsterdam for the LTAL tour, I decided I wanted to be as close as possible: I waited for more than 10 hours at the entrance of the stadium, ran inside when the doors opened ending up standing front row, right under the Titanic-bow.

  it’s one of the best audiences from the entire tour. You can hear people singing in quite a few songs. Just to clarify, I’m talking about Amsterdam 1999 lol.

According to wiki it still is yeah:

Céline’s attendance was 64,652 according to the Johan Cruijff Arena’s English Wikipedia-page. So that’s lower than what the Dutch Wiki says?!

If the 64,652 is correct she doesn’t hold the record anymore because last year, Coldplay’s four shows had an attendance of 267,180 (average of 66,795 per show) and also Ed Sheeran’s two 2022 shows (134,119 total, so 67,056 per show) are higher than Céline.

But if 68,083 is correct, than she still might hold the record…

The thought of Make you happy being performed is very exciting to me.

I imagine there are probably other instances in Céline's career before the internet where random shows had a setlist change early on.

Imagine if the earliest FIY show has a 2017 copenhagen esque setlist. Lol..and we just don't know about it.

crazy we have no mostly complete bootleg until July. Not sure but wasn’t When I Fall In Love rumored to have been in the setlist? I know Fly was sung but I think that may have been a one off occurrence. Would love to hear the earlier arrangements of some songs too. Nice to see you active on here btw.

And Fly for that TV special...

Maybe the early dates from 96 were an adaptation of the D'eux setlist... so Fly as the finale makes total sense.
And we know that Because You Loved Me was performed in the middle of the show before...

Yeah, i just take a look on setlist fm and saw that J’attendais was performed in the earlier french canada shows of the tour.

According to setlist.fm, she sang Make You Happy in the middle and Because You Loved Me and Fly at the end of the concert in Vancouver 1996 (in France Because You Loved Me was in the middle of the concert). And she sang When I Fall In Love in Vegas 1996 in the middle of the concert (movie medley with BATB) , according to this site.

Destin is from the April show I think. What’s interesting to me is all the broadcasted songs from June of 96 were english songs lol. Somone has a bootleg of April 96 I think. It needs to be shared.

Hearing the live version of make you happy would be great. Also curious about the ending as the song ends with a fade out on the album

Since the last lyrics to the song that are truly audible to most people are show you light beyond the rain, I could almost imagine her singing that with her back up singer a couple times, then the back up singing it one or two more times. Or maybe her and her backup singers would just sing it a few times together at the end. I’d love to hear it one day if it was actually performed.
