Celine Dion's older brother Daniel is on his deathbed and only has hours left to live after a fight with cancer ... TMZ has learned.
The news comes less than 24 hours after the death of Celine's husband, Rene Angelil, who also died of cancer.
Daniel, 59, has been fighting brain, tongue and throat cancer in Celine's native Montreal according to his sister, Claudette. He's surrounded by family, including their 89-year-old mother, but it's so bad the family doesn't think he'll make it through another week.

It's such an awful time for the family.
5 years ago I almost lost my mum and brother in the space of 3 weeks.
I don't know how people get through things like this. But somehow most of us do.
Like I always say: just one foot in front of the other. That's all. 😢

We all go through these periods where one thing after another after another just piles on us. I wish it wasn't happening to her, but celebs/famous people are not exempt. I wish she could be because I hate imagining what this must be doing to her. I wish I/we could lessen it somehow. I don't think I could do it, don't know how I would. i can only compare this pain to when I lost my eyesight in June 2012. I wish life could give her a break, but since it can't...I wish her all the strength that big huge heart of hers needs/can hold.

Maman Dion mentioned a while back that one of her sons has a similar cancer to René's... but she didn't mention how he was doing or anything. So sad.

We've just entered 2016 and already everything has just come crashing down, does not bode well for the rest of the year! I admire her so much because I think if this were me I'd just give up, but those three gorgeous boys will keep her going and the support from all of us she knows is behind her. Just can't even piece this altogether, it doesn't seem real, keep thinking I'm going to wake up from a horrendous nightmare. They are one strong family unit and together they will see each other through the years, just like they have done so after the passing over of Adhemar, he'll be up there to keep Rene company, and Daniel when the time comes, together they will protect over Celine  and their families! RIP, gentlemen ❤️

This is simply terrible. The 14 children are now 13, just 2 days after losing René. It simply seems unreal, I have no words...

The first Dion to go...ah honor no one wanted. Rest in peace, daniel. How much more can this woman take? There's the school of thought that everything is karma, and if that's true, then I would just like to ask what in the hell she did to deserve this. She has done nothing but good, help, serve, kindness, charity, compassion, understanding, tollerance. I do not get it. :(
