Btw those of you haven't heard there will be a Sugarland concert on the GAC channel at 10pm tonight. It was filmed in Atlanta the day the Incredible Machine cd was released in October and they sang most if not all of the songs off the IM cd plus their hits. Be sure to check your local listings and tune in! :maniac:

I don't know. I recorded some footage on my cell phone. I had horrible seats but I'll see if I can post.

Okay... so I have been watching the "Stay" video for the past hour or so over and over again... and along with that, sobbing my eyes out really hard. I honestly think there is more behind this song than she talks about/lets people know/think. I don't know what, but I don't think Jennifer would cry so f**king hard in the video and every single time she sings it live if there wasn't more meaning behind it. I love the song, and it is so beautiful, I just think there is more behind the song/video... maybe it is about Kristian? You never know... they don't talk about their relationship very much, do they? I don't know, I'm just making some assumptions here... does anyone have any idea?

Oh I have one guess and one guess only as to who the song is about. She says it was written because of Reba's song 'London calling' that she got the inspiration from that song but I think there is more to it or that she is covering the truth up. I personally think it's about Krisitian. At the time the song was written by her she was going through a lot personally. She was going through a divorce with her husband Todd Van Sickle. She's never talked about the divorce and probably never will. She says she didn't get married in the spotlight and she wasn't getting divorced in the spotlight. I personally think it's about Kristian and I think there is more to their friendship but that' just my opinion.

Jennifer thrilled to perform with Rihanna.

Rihanna is set to take the stage with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles at next month’s Academy of Country Music Awards. The country star shared her excitement about joining forces with her pop counterpart.

RiRi and Nettles will duet on “California King Bed” at the 46th annual show, airing April 3 at 8 p.m. on CBS. “It’s the first time that Lady Ri and I have ever sung together and the first time that this song will be performed live so we are thrilled,” Nettles told Ryan Seacrest.

She explained how the unlikely pairing came about. “We’re just big fans of each other. We wanted to do something that was fun and different and fresh, and I reached out to her and said, ‘Hey, anything you want to do?’ and she said, ‘I have this song that I specifically would love to do,’ and I said, ‘Yes ma’am, we will do it.’”

She added, “It is such a moment. And I think what it shows us is that good music is good and good performance is good, and as long as you like it, who cares what you call it. Get out there and have fun with each other.”

And don’t be surprised if Nettles gives the red-haired diva a run for her money fashion-wise. “I am planning on having a diamond-encrusted crotch,” she joked.

I haven't had the money in itunes to buy it yet, it's been posted for 'free' on some sites but I haven't watched it. I wanna buy it, Stand Up was instantly my favorite song when I saw them last September. I didn't even know the name of it, I came home and looked it up on youtube and listened for hours.   It's really great the money from the video will go to the red cross, its so terrible what happened to all the people affected by the storms, floods and tornadoes.

Just thought I'd share this.

A few bumps and bruises on the road to June 16th and a very early morning....lead up to the days before and the day of our concert in Charleston. I spent the night before the show with my friend Jenny and we made sure we had all our stuff for the show ready because we had to leave early the next morning. We were going to work with her mom because her mom works in Charleston, so we just spent the day there. We got up at 6:45 am and started getting ready to leave. We piled our stuff in the car that morning, stopped for some cappuccino and a doughnut to get ourselves woken up and headed for Charleston. We hung around the mall for probably an hour waiting for it to open, then spent another hour or two looking around. We decided to try and find some jewelry to wear to the show since we really didn't have anything, we stopped in Claire's a store that has a lot of jewelry and accessories and such. We found a few things we wanted but as we were getting ready to check out I spotted some more jewelry. Taking a closer look I realized the jewelry was steam punk! It had cogs and gears and zippers and bolts and nuts and spikes on it! I found a necklace on clearance and matching earrings and some bracelets with flowers, birds, peace signs, hearts, key and lock. We snapped up the jewelry and ended up getting one pair of earrings free because they were buy one get one free, so after that we walked around the mall a bit more and headed out to the civic center to try and spot the trucks and buses, we ended up going inside the civic center to see where the Sugarpit line up spot was and found a few other people there as well and we spotted the trucks through a window and decided to walk around and snap some photos and decided to go eat, change into our Sugarland shirts and get ready to go line up.

We made it back to the civic center around twelve thirty and we took some drinks with us, there were maybe six or eight people already in line, we got at the end of the line and propped our Little Miss posters up against a pole and sat down to wait. The people right in front of us in line were really really nice to us. We talked a lot, showed them the photos we took of the trucks and stuff. Later in the afternoon a couple of them went over to the mall across the street to get something to eat and they kindly offered to get us something if we would like, we  didn't need anything since we just ate so we told them thank you but we were fine. A few hours later around 4 a couple showed up and sat down in line behind us. We talked to them for a couple hours as well and a little later another group of people showed up to get in line and had a little girl with them who later during the show managed to get Kristian and Jennifer a WVU Football with a teddy bear inside, I saw him lay it down on the stage as he walked across during one of the songs. She was very excited to give J&K the stuffed football and I'm really glad she got to give it to her. Whitney aka Yoda aka Sugarland Webmaster came out once earlier in the afternoon and moved the pit line because they needed the floor clear at the civic center because they were taking carts of food and drinks and such back and forth. So we lined up a few feet away between a pole and door. She came out again around six or so I think to start giving pit wristbands, checking for GA pit tickets and laminates and making sure the people in line were Sugarpass members.

After about six hours in line and a quick trip to the merch stand to buy a flashing glow stick, silly bandz and tour book it was finally time to head for the pit, we lined up single file, and proceeded to the doors across the lobby to go in the hallway to get to the pit. They stopped us at the door and checked our tickets again and Yoda told us to walk not run to the pit. By the time we got to the actual door way where the seats were the single file line was pretty well gone. We walked quickly into the pit after our wristbands were checked again and we got to go get our spots. I quickly darted up to an empty spot in about the middle of the stage and Jenny and her mom joined me. There was a woman beside us who had gotten a VIP package and was telling us about the dinner and such and mentioned that she wanted to be on the right side of the stage because that was where Jenn was a lot. She was there by herself from Virginia and had driven about three hours to get there. I wasn't aware that the VIP's were let in the pit before Sugarpass members were but there were a few people already there when we got there. The pit didn't really get packed until after six thirty probably, I didn't really know what time it was because my phone was dead. The people who were just in front of us in the line earlier in the day were right beside us in the pit. They were really nice to me, one of the women who was taller than me had been talking to me in line and I had told her I was afraid I would get stuck behind someone taller than me and she kindly said she would allow me in front of her if that happened because I was short enough she could see over me. All she asked was that if she was taking pictures I didn't bump her. I thanked her very much for the offer and hoped I wouldn't be behind someone taller than me. Which isn't hard to do honestly, I'm only five foot tall.

The group of people in front of us in line all kindly said they would save our spots if we had to leave the pit and one of the women said she wasn't going to let anyone get my spot or get in front of me because I wouldn't be able to see. It was really nice of them to be so considerate of us. In turn we also agreed we wouldn't let anyone take their spots if they had to leave and a couple times they did so we just put our bags in their spots and spread out a bit so we could save them. I should have asked her name but I forgot but there was a woman in the group that was my height and she had a WVU hat on and during Sara Bareilles' act I wanted to get her to sign my Little Miss poster and I told the woman I was trying to get her to sign it and she goes "Well go on girl get up there!" and let me in front of her so I could reach it to Sara. I tried before but she didn't see it, but once I moved in front of the woman I saw my chance. Sara was at the piano getting ready to sing and I pulled my self up on the edge of the stage so I could reach and I shoved the poster towards her and a marker was clipped to it that I borrowed off a woman in the pit. Sara saw me and took my poster and Jenny wanted hers signed too and we both tried earlier to get hers signed and it didn't work so I quickly turned around and started shouting to Jenny to give me her poster and I grabbed it and gave both them to Sara. She was really sweet about it when she saw both posters. She said "Oh I've got homework! Hold on! Let me sign these and then I'll get to the song." She signed them and mentioned she was going to leave room for the 'big stars' to sign them and handed them back and then said "Oh there's glitter all over my piano now! It's so pretty! I love it!" because our posters had tons of glitter on them and some fell off when she laid them down to sign.

With the signed posters in hand I made my way back to my spot after getting a fist bump from the woman who said she would let me get in front of her if I was behind someone that was taller and she said "Way to go!" for getting the autographs. I gave Jenny her poster and we were grinning ear to ear and we looked at the autographs and still laughing at the comments Sara made about the glitter and homework. She was really funny and she was a GREAT opening act. Once Sara's set ended two radio station dj's came out to talk and present a check from the lottery to a lucky fan in the audience and then they played some music for a while before the lights went out and Sugarland's music started. I started taking photos the second I saw Jenn behind the curtain and when it dropped and she started walking off the bridge my heart was pounding and my hands shaking and the closer she got the more excited I became. She was soo close to me! I was right at the edge of the stage and sang right along with them and everyone else in the pit. When the first song 'All We Are' finished Jenn talked for a few minutes and in between one of the songs I tried to reach my poster up to her to get her to sign it after finding another marker and clipping it to the poster. I reach as far as I could to get it on the stage so she would see it, she did! I thought great she is going to sign it! She didn't though, she looked at it and said "What are you trying to give me? Oh it's for little miss, alright cool." and went on, I put my poster back down and they started another song and I went back to singing and jumping around the pit with everyone and taking photos.

When it came time for 'Little Miss' I put my camera to record and handed it to my brother's girlfriend Kathy and very quickly showed her how to record with it and I grabbed my poster and got in my spot at the edge of the stage. I held my bright pink glittering sign high and proud as I watched Jennifer walk across the front of the stage and read it again. I held that sign as high as I could and sang right along while Kathy recorded the video, I looked up at the screen and noticed my poster and Jenny's on it and I quickly turned and shouted to her "Our signs were on the screen! our signs were on the screen!" and she said "Yay!" and during the long note  at the 'Hold on' line we turned them over and J&K read them again. We were the only two in the pit with Little Miss project signs, I saw a yellow sign way in the back section of seats but it wasn't for LMP. When the song ended Kathy stopped recording and handed my camera back and I went back to taking photos. I did edit and upload the video today. You can see it here on Youtube I had to edit some parts out because there was a woman right in front of Kathy who kept sticking her hand up and pointing at Jennifer during LM and blocked her out during some parts of the video. During 'Baby Girl' Jennifer was directly in front of me. It was totally amazing and she had the crowd sing during some of the song when she would stop singing. She made her way across the front of the stage and high fived or rather low fived everyone that could reach in the front of the pit. The second time she came across later in the show I managed to pull myself up high enough on the edge of the stage to reach her and Jenny got a high five too! We turned and looked at each other and just screamed, we were sooo excited!

Sadly the show had to come to an end, the guitar was signed and given away to a very lucky little girl in the audience, the LOVE flag was spray painted and given to a child just a couple feet away from me in the pit and before we knew it the show was over. Our lungs were sore, our throats blistered from yelling and screaming and singing so loudly the whole time, we were hot, tired, thirty and running on adrenaline as we gathered our things from the floor, held our posters and headed out of the pit. Our ears were ringing and hearing muffled from the loud music as we made our way through the crowd and found our whole group and parted ways for the night. Exhausted Jenny, her mom and I made it to the parking garage and got in the car and immediately Jenny and I started talking about the concert, about our high fives from Jenn, getting glitter on Sara's piano and getting her autograph and the whole car ride home all I kept saying was "It was sooo much fun, it was soo much fun!" We agreed that if they do the pit next tour we are definitely going again but we will be wearing ear plugs because we don't want to damage our hearing from it being so loud. Getting up really early, waiting six hours in line, ringing ears, aching legs and arms, it was all worth it just to see Sugarland up close and personal like that and to get a high five and have them read our Little Miss posters.

Guys... please please PLEASE keep Sugarland in your thoughts and prayers... and also the fans and people at the Indianapolis State Fair. The stage collapsed at the concert moments before Sugarland was about to take the stage. Apparently some sort of storm/high wind knocked the stage over. At least 4 deaths have been reported and about 25-30 people injured, among those a little 7-year-old girl. So please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. This is a very sad tragedy and Jennifer and Kristian are also very sad. If you guys want more information, take a look at Sugarland's twitter page, @Sugarlandmusic, or their facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/sugarland. I love all of you, please be safe. I don't want this to happen to anyone. :( Love you guys!!

The band is fine. I won't waste my time praying for them.

The people of my home state though, who were injured, and/or lost loved ones, yes...that's who we should pray for.

I was on my way home around 9PM which is when this happened and it was POURING down rain and windy as hell.... when I saw how flimsy looking that cheap stage was, I can't say I'm surprised.

Many years ago at the Indiana State fair there was an explosion in the coloseum that killed hundreds....now this.  I'm afraid they need to take more pre-cautions in some regards. I know that nobody would ever foresee this happening... but at the same time, that stage looked like it was being held up by a deck of cards.

Anyway, I was at the state fair the day before and am going back next week on Thursday to see Maroon 5 and Train perform (assuming they don't cancel that concert).
