Has anyone heard of sugarland? or like them?

There are a country trio that had 3 hits last year.
Thursday night I got the news that one of them is going to quite. I thought it was really sad because I really liked them.

What does everyone else think of them?

The reason that the lead singer is leaving is because she wants to go back to her songwriting roots, and possibly do a solo album.

Yes they have a signiture song. It's called "Baby Girl. I know it sucks that Jennifer is leaving the group. The group won't be the same, but they're still gonna perform and make albums with the 2 that are left.

I think they're both just as big. I've just seen the video for "Something More" on CMT more than "Baby Girl." But they're both great songs. :wub:

It is not the lead singer it is the girl guitarist.

And I am not that upset I just think it is so sad that they decided to quite. They were just starting to become famous. I hope the other two continue. I wonder what they will do about the tour.

Hmm thought I'd revive this topic. Any current Sugarland fans here? Their new CD 'The Incredible Machine' comes out in exactly two weeks :maniac:

They will be appearing on the CMA's November 10th and CNN Hero's Tribute November 25th to sing 'Stand Up'

It's 16 dollars and I told my dad I want it as a late bday present since my bday was last month and I didn't really ask for anything.

No no those break up rumors were just from when the third member Kristen Hall left the group way back in 05 after the first CD was out. Jennifer and Kristian would never just end Sugarland!

So far the new version of 'Wide Open' isn't on YT yet. I can't wait to hear it. I asked on their official Facebook page and they confirmed it is a new version that is different from the one recorded for the Winter Games. The song was written just for the WG's actually.

Oh and at the CMA's I'm not sure what they will perform but according to their official site it says 'Sugarland will be performing on the 44th Annual CMA Awards broadcast live from Nashville, Nov. 10 on ABC.
