So this is my first EVER actually working colored pencil portrait. i guess it looks okay but i want people's feedback so i know what went wrong. tell me what you think!

It's nice but I think you should make the mouth smaller to get it to look more like Céline. :) Great job though.

Yeah, I agree with Sofie! Her mouth is a bit large.
The eyes are a bit odd too...

But I shouldn't be talking since I could never use colored pencil that masterfully!!

I think it's very very nice! I don't think I could pull off a colored pencil portrait :lol:
If I was to give any constructive criticism I would say perhaps make her hair line a bit more natural? It just seems a bit too almost cartoon-ish? I don't know how to explain it.

But really you've done a great job :)

i totally understand what you mean. thanks i am still working on my technique. if anyone out there has a good techinque and would like to share please do! it would be appriciated :) !

Haha I tried doing a colored pencil drawing of Celine's live in Las Vegas DVD but it didn't come out well so i discontinued it!

wait to go with spelling  volleyceline :P um i use a regular #2 and for the colored pencils i used crayola for the regular colors and for the skin tone my art teacher's prismacolor skin tone set which is freaking amazing :o . imagine a color pencil that colors without a waxy build up and has the consitancy a little thicker than eyeliner but not as sticky :o . a freaking amazing i love those things. :w00t: when i found out Mr. Wacker was hoarding those things behind his desk, i started to use them and now i want them but they are WAY to expensive for me. i will not pay $40.00 for colored pencils. not now anyway.

I also just use regular HB #2 pencil, the same one for most of my drawings :yes:

i just look at the photo and do the dark things first. you build off from there. or i start at the eyes or the nose and build off it!
