Forum upgrade completed | Post any issues here

The upgrade is complete. Thanks to Thomas for the new banner! Forum will load slower while the rebuild of old posts are running in the background. Some older posts may not show up correctly. This entire process can take a few days to complete.

As this is a major upgrade with many improvements and features, some things may not work properly yet. I'm still learning and discovering new functions and changes.

Here are some of the issues:

Search function won't work until the rebuild of posts is complete.

Gender icon broken

All member ranks shown as "Newbie"

No need for Tapatalk now that the forum is PWA compatible and works really well with mobile phones and tablets. It loses a lot of functionality compared to using the forum in a normal browser. Plus, they charge owners to pay to upload files to their servers.

I noticed the gallery link was missing from the top bar, think it was near the sign in area.

This is a fantastic upgrade. It’s so smooth compared to the old version.  Really pleased and thankful to you.

It is but many accounts here were compromised because it was a security weakness. I will enable it to ensure members don't run into any issues. From the developer:

Allowing users to log in with a display name can represent a security weakness for your community because display names are public information and malicious users may attempt to login to multiple accounts with common passwords until they find an account for which the passwords work. It is recommended that you only allow users to log in with their email address. The ability to log in using display names will be removed in a future version.

You also have a choice of a dark and light version for the Dimension theme. The Elegant theme has a color picker to customize the colors.

Click on Theme at the bottom to change.

I'm looking into delete own posts. I think there is one for topics.

The forum is loading much slower now due to reindexing posts. This is the last rebuild step! Hope it finishes soon.

thank you so much for the upgrade! Feels like the forum woke up from a looooong sleep! I can vaguely imagine how much work is combined with everything!
