Back From Vegas

[Celine's Rose]

Well, I have been really busy since I got back from Vegas so here is my late review. My mom and I had tickets for Saturday July 2nd and for Sunday July 3rd. When we arrived in Vegas on Friday morning we headed over to Caesars and we ended up buying tickets for Friday night too. We bought 2nd MEZ 1 Row D Seats 118-119. In the lobby of the Colosseum we ran into the person who tried to get us backstage last December and he ended up moving us to ORCH 2 Row GG Seats 201-202. Even though these seats were way off to the side, they were great because the way the stage curves they were like front row. We sat right next to Yves and Elise. Céline was great as always and PQTME was fantastic. I love it when Céline sings in French. The crowd was great! Everyone was up and dancing even through IDAN.

 

Before the show started on Saturday, my mom and I talked again to our friend. He told us that he once worked in Iceland and while there he found and bough all of Céline’s early stuff as he is a large fan and when moved to Vegas someone broke into his house and stole all of it! That would make me sick if someone stole all of my Céline stuff. I sat in ORCH 4 Row DD seats 401-402. There I met Salla and Sandie along with two other girls that Salla had met on the internet. It was great talking to and getting to know them. I really enjoyed it. Before the mirror breaks, the camera kept zooming in on a pregnant lady. She wouldn’t wave or even look up. It was funny. I bet my mom that she would get the rose and she did lol. Again, the show was great, but it seemed to go buy so fast. The crowd was kind of blah. At the very beginning of IDAN, everyone sat down except Salla, Sandie, Lisa, and I. Salla, Sandie, I stood up for most of it until the group of French women behind us started to get really angry lol.

 

I didn’t want the show to end for more reasons than one. Earlier that day, I received a phone call from my aunt and she said that my uncle’s father had less than an hour to live. My uncle is like my father, so it made me upset for him and about the man who is like my grandfather. My aunt said she would call before the show and let us know what was going on, but she didn’t call. After my mom and I said goodbye to Salla and Sandie I turned on my cell phone and I had a voicemail. It turns out that my grandpa died right around the time the show started. My mom and I had a good cry in the lobby with many people starring lol. We weren’t going home until Tuesday, so we tried to get an earlier flight home (on Monday), but since it was the holiday weekend there wasn’t any. But the good thing was that we did make it home on time on Tuesday night to go to the visitation and then the funeral on Wednesday morning. It all came on so suddenly that I still can’t even believe that it is real… After that, our friend walked into the lobby and he asked me if I had anything signed by Céline before. I didn’t so he asked if I had anything and I gave him a picture that I had with me and my program that was signed by Mego and a few other dancers. He said that he would have Céline sign them and then her production company would mail them out to me in a few weeks. I can’t wait to get them. I just hope they don’t get lost in the mail lol.

 

My mom and I did not eat before the show so we went and had a piece of pizza in the little bar across from the Colosseum because we were hungry but we didn’t really feel like eating much. While we were eating Yves Frulla, Andre Coutu, Jean-Sebastien Carre, Francisco (Frankie) Avina (who remembered meeting me last December), Tina Cannon, a man who works at the box office and Kevin Paul (a technician) showed up to have some drinks. I got a new program and got their autographs. Kevin and the guy from the box office (whose name I can’t read) didn’t want to sign my program, but then they did because Frankie said, “after all it is like Céline says, ‘…all the dancers, musicians, and technicians…” lol. They were a lot of fun. My mom told them all about how Sunday’s show was going to be my 10th Céline concert lol. We all took this picture:

 

 

It was funny because Tina’s dad and another lady who could have been her sister were in town seeing the show too and they took a picture of all of us with Tina’s camera lol.

 

Sunday’s show was fantastic. My mom and I had ORCH 3 Row AA Seats 304-305. This was my 2nd time sitting in the front row and it was great. I was sitting next to a couple from Florida and the man was not really excited to be there. He kept asking me how I could have possibly seen the show so many times. Well, after the show was over, he told me that he was wrong and I was right and that he would be back lol. There was also this really cute older lady sitting directly behind me who was freaking out from the moment she entered the Colosseum. I talked to her for a few minutes and she actually ended up grabbing my shoulder multiple times during the show because she was so excited lol. When Céline sat down right in front of us for IIC she shrieked, “Holy s***!” I’m not sure how many people or if Céline heard it but it was funny none the less. During IA towards the end of the song, Céline came over to our side and started pointing at people. When she pointed at me, I blew her a kiss and her eyes got really big and she laughed. Every time I saw someone that I had met from the night before, I was waved at.

 

At the very end of the show, Céline gave me the rose. I don’t know if I had help (for it being my 10th show) or not, but it was another surreal experience. She gave me a hug and I said thank you and that the show was fantastic. She said, “Thank you” and then she took both of my mom’s hands in her’s and then gave my mom a hug. I so shocked that I would get the rose because I had gotten it once before in December and I usually don’t have very good luck lol. And with that, Celine ran back up on stage waved at everyone and blew me a kiss and then left.

 

 

It was amazing to have so many people ask me if I knew Céline personally because they say everyone waving at me and after me getting the rose lol. I wish We then said goodbye to Salla and Sandie and our friend who told me that if I ever move out to Vegas, he would try to get me a job working there ha-ha. He gave us his card and said to let him know when we are coming back so who knows maybe we can get backstage then lol. Here is a pic of my rose from December if anyone cares to see it:

Wow, I hardly have time to get on this forum anymore, obviously. Anyway, September 24 is when i'm going. One night is about the same seat i had last time, 4th row. The next night is that same section but row 3! WHOO HOO! AND i finally get to meet Sophie and Cel and Cathy and Tal. FUNNNNN!
