The Band, Stars, mentions Celine in their Billboard interview!

In response to a question Billboard asked them about whether or not their music was too deep for Top 40 radio, the band, Stars, said this:

 

"You know, I don't really know what 'deep' means in music," Campbell says. "If you're going through chemotherapy and listening to Celine Dion helps you, then Celine Dion is deep. Maybe some other people think she isn't, but what right do they have to say to you that your experience with a particular piece of music isn't profound?"

 

It made me smile. He's right. Who are others to tell us that Celine Dion can't be profound or wonderful?

Well to us she is, and we get to have that. I'm not sure if the person in the band meant that as a positive toward her or as picking the worst singer they could think of kind of thing, but I think that's so cool either way.

She has helped me through losing my sight, and I don't think you can get a whole lot deeper than that. People have never said to me that her music should not be helping me through it, they've always just said, "at least you have something positive and someone to look up to as a role model."

She can be anything/everything she is to us and that's okay. She and we are great just the way we are. So keep on keeping on, Celine fans!!!!!!!!

Mmmmmm... I think they listen to Celine every now and then and someone told them that she wasn't deep, and that's why they're saying this... lol.

 

I don't know who they are BTW but it's true what they said... It all depends on the moment we're going through
