Ethan Posted July 31, 2005 at 03:32 AM Posted July 31, 2005 at 03:32 AM (edited) By the way, Je ne vous oublie pas gives me the impression One Change Pas will be promoted as a European album, so I’m not sure Sony will even want to include songs from her 80s career when she had a heavy Quebecois flavor to her and was still unknown in Europe. IMO, the reason this album is being released is to present Cèline in a new light for the Europe audience. I think as she gets older she’ll become more oriented toward the European market, and I see the new album One ne change pas as an indication of that. Celcool Posted August 1, 2005 at 06:10 AM Posted August 1, 2005 at 06:10 AM No news on what the other two new songs are, huh? I wanna hear them!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm so curious about the tracklist as well. Quote
Daysleeper Posted August 1, 2005 at 10:23 AM Posted August 1, 2005 at 10:23 AM Well I hope there will be few old french songs because if they make a double CD compilation it should be a nice retrospective of her french language career. People would have a nice view on it's evolution and maybe it could help some people appriciate her more. Many people still don't know how long she's been in music business and this could release them from ignorence. I also hope this album will be released in USA. Quote

celine5-5 Posted August 3, 2005 at 12:19 AM Posted August 3, 2005 at 12:19 AM I got to thinking about what songs might be on the new "On ne Change Pas" album, so I came up with a list about what I thought should most likely be on there. As a warning, I'm not very familiar with Celine's french music from before the release of "Dion Chante Plamondon", but I've either heard or heard of at least some of her earlier french songs. I had to guess a little. Here's what I came up with: 1. Ce N'etait q'un Reve 2. Ne Partez Sans Moi 3. Les Ousieaux du Bonheur 4. Mon Ami Ma Quitee 5. D'amour ou Damite 6. Incognito 7. Des Mots Qui Sonnent 8. Je Danse Dans Ma Tete 9. L'amour Existe Encore 10. Elle 11. Quand on na que L'amour 12. Tu M'aimes Encore 13. Je Sais Pas 14. Vole 15. Ziggy 16. Zora Sourit 17. On ne Change Pas 18. S'il Suffisait D'amier 19. Let's Talk About Love (Whatever it is in French) 20. Sous Les Vent 21. Tout L'or Des Hommes 22. Je T'aime Encore 23. Contre Nature 24. Ma Nouvelle France 25. Mes Ailes Moi 26. Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas 27. A Paris I'm sure there will probably be more songs on here, since it will be a 2-disc album. I just hope that there are more new songs on it. I also thought that other songs like "Le Blues Du Businessman", "J'attendais", "Jirai Ou Tu Iras", and "Je Crois Toi" would be pretty good candidates for the album too. Does anyone have any other ideas about what else might be on the album? I can't wait until they release the official tracklisting for the album, so that we'll finally know. I absolutely cannot wait until it comes out. I'm so exited! Quote

celine5-5 Posted August 4, 2005 at 12:16 AM Posted August 4, 2005 at 12:16 AM I hope 'YOU AND I French Version' will include in this album <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope so too. It might not fit the "Greatest Hits" theme, but it would fit in with the "never-before released" theme. Plus, the english version was very popular in Canada, while it is practically unknown and vainly ignored in the U.S., which made me so p/o'ed. Quote

Daysleeper Posted August 4, 2005 at 11:14 AM Posted August 4, 2005 at 11:14 AM (edited) If there will be 34 songs it means they will probably put some of her old french songs. I doubt they will be enough hits from her french studio albums released by Sony to fill these two cds. Ok, I'm not sure, but it means if there won't be old songs they would have to put about six songs from each Sony album. Okay, here's the list of the songs I think they should include: 1. Ce n'était qu'un rêve (it is symbolical song for her career and I think it should be there)2. D'amour ou d'amité (big hit and it introduced Céline to her french public)3. Mon ami m'a quittée (another big hit from her early days)4. Une colombe (big hit in Quebec and it marks a special moment in Celine's career)5. Ne partez pas sans moi (the winning song from Eurovision. I think this song should be on european edition while "Une colombe" on canadian.)6. Incognito (big hit in Quebec, it introduced Céline's new image)7. Lolita (Trop jeune pour aimer) (another hit from "Incognito" album)8. Délivre-moi (I don't know if this song was a big hit, but she sang this song in live many times, so I guess it was)9. Des mots qui sonnent (It was a hit in Quebec)10. Je danse dans ma tête (a single from "DCP/DMQS" album. Another hit)11. Ziggy (big hit in France)12. L'amour existe encore (another great single from the album)13. Pour que tu m'aimes encore (no need to say anything. Probably her biggest french hit, reached also the UK chart)14. Je sais pas (very big hit in France)15. Les derniers seront les premiers (this song could maybe be as live version from "Live A Paris". Another hit.)16. J'attendais (one of the singles)17. Le ballet (I don't know if it was a hit, but it was released for radio and Céline performed this song in her "Falling Into You" tour all around the world)18. J'irai où tu iras (another favorite from "D'eux" album, performed in "Falling into you" like the song above. It also marks her colaboration with Goldman)19. Zora sourit (this was the first single from "S'il suffisait d'aimer")20. S'il suffisait d'aimer (hit from "SISDA" and sung in her "LTAL" tour around the world)21. On ne change pas (anither hit and this compilation would have the same title, so it's normal)22. En attendant ses pas (released only for radios. I don't know for it's success, but I think it did well in Canada)23. Sous le vent (big hit in France)24. Tout l'or des hommes (first single from "1F&4T", it was a hit)25. Et je t'aime encore (second single from "1F&4T")26. Contre nature (only a radio single, but it did well I think)27. Je lui dirai (radio single, a nice exemple of the diversity of her songs) + three new songs (including "Je ne vous oublie pas") I wrote now 30 titles. All these songs were released as singles (commercial or promotional) except "J'irai où tu iras". If there will be 34 tracks then I don't know.
