Celine and Rene's waxworks to feature at the Grevin Museum in Montreal

Celine and Rene alongside with many of the great famous people from Quebec will be at the Grevin Museum in Montreal. Some statues already existing in the Grevin Museum in Paris and will be reproduced in Montreal, especially those of Celine and Rene, who were unveiled seven years ago in Paris. The wax statue of Celine will be renovated and modernized, however that of Rene remain unchanged. The Grevin Museum in Montreal will open its doors in March 2013 and will occupy three floors of the building that housed the Eaton's downtown.

The opening date for the Grevin Museum in Montreal is set for 19 April 2013.

I can't wait for this new wax figure!! I hope they do a really good job. I didn't really like the newest one made in Vegas. They did a good job on the hair and face, but i think they made her shoulders look like a football playing and the hieght of her body and shape of her legs looked off.

 

I know the figures can never be perfect, but compared to the wax figure in Caesars to the one in Madame tussaud's, they look like two completly different hieghts.

 

My family and i stood beside the one in Caesars and it towers over us and we were all wearing heals that day. The next day at Madame Tussaud's, we were all in flats and she wasn't the same hieght at all.

 

Someone on this forum asked Annie Horth how tall Celine is without heals and she said that Celine is 5"9. That means with heals Celine would be around 6"1 or 6"2.

 

I know in Celine's For Keeps book it says that she's 5"7, but if Annie really did say she is 5"9 without heals, then maybe Celine didn't know her proper measurments at the time that book was written. You think Annie would know the correct hieght of Celine, cuz she has to measure her all the time for her clothes.

 

I'm just curious to know this answer. I don't have facebook or twitter, so i can't ask Annie this question myself. Maybe if someone on the forum could ask Annie this question again and if we get the same answer, then we will know it's 100% true.

 

I really hope they choose the Open Arms dress. It would be perfect. I wonder if Celine will go visit this new wax figure. I don't think she has gone to see the one at Madame Tussaud's yet.

Well if she is really 5'9 and wears heels that would explain why she looks taller than most of the men that she takes pics. with! I have always thought that these men are really short! However I thought that she was 5'7 also. Edited by DionFanAlways

It's only 2 more days until the opening of the new wax museum!! Is anyone else excited to see what this new Celine wax figure is going to look like? I might be taking a trip to Montreal soon, so i am really looking foward to possibly seeing this in person.

 

I have had the opportunity to see 2 wax figures of Celine so far, both in Vegas. I hope to see them all some day!!

And with that... she now has 4 was figures... 2 at Grevin, 1 at Tussaud, and 1 at Caesars Palace... keep 'em coming!
