Well you're precisely asking what kind of songs we would like to hear her sing, so this refers to the future! To me there's no doubt to answer that: Up tempo and dance songs, definetly! And then, one of my favourite songs from her is "Right In Front Of You", and in french, "Tous Les Blues Sont Écrits Pour Toi".

 

Enough of slow, boring covers and ballads, she's done too much of that already. She needs to bring some rythm and beat and refresh her concerts!

Well, I love the album 1 Fille & 4 Types, especially songs as Apprends-Moi, Contre Nature & Rien N'est Vrainment Fini. Also, Tous Les Blues Sont Écrits Pour Toi, from S'il Suffisait D'aimer. In english, I like Miles to Go (Before I Sleep). I would like to see Céline sing new uptempo songs, too.

How are things in Spain.

 

Well things are a little crazy these days, today precisely the news didn't bring the best positive headlines about the economic crisis for my country, but that's affecting even bigger countries in Europe now (other than Greece, Ireland and Portugal)... it's kinda intimidating the situation Hopefully if we're supposed to be an Union of countries we'll get through!. Other than that it's a hot summer around here, our cities with coasts and beaches are crowded with tourism so that's a good sign, people enjoy our country and food still!. In my city it's a very beautiful summer also! Unfortunately there's no beach here so its almost empty in august due to summer vacations, however this gives me time to appreciate and enjoy things I didn't realize or stop to look at before while its crowded. Life is beautiful indeed!

My favorite Celine song in English is hands down "The power of love" just amazing! In French, I love "Je crois Toi" so beautiful and moving! I would love to hear Celine's voice on some older tracks. She was so beautiful on "At Last" and "Nature Boy" and her recent Oscar performance of Smile. Her voice is truly designed for these songs!

Many people on this forum requested Celine to sing Then You Look At Me from her All the way CD.If she would perform it, she might make a lot of happy people in here if you know what I mean

 

I like her rendition of The Power of Love, It's all coming back to me now, Because you loved me, My Heart will go on even though it's a bit cliche, and most of the new songs she recorded on her All The Way CD like Then You look At me, I want you to need me, If walls could talk, that's the way it is.

It's gratifying that someone so close and important in professional career of Céline asks fans about what kind of music we do like the most. I hope our ideas are taken in consideration because at the end we are the ones who buy the cds and attend concerts.

 

As many people here, I love UP-TEMPO songs, such as "when the wrong one loves you right", "a cause remix"...songs where céline sounds fresh and modern.

I also love ballads and no-one sings ballads better then Céline, but the new cd should be something like "A new day has come" with more up-tempo and dance songs than ballads.

 

It would also be fantastic editing all those songs recorded but never released in a pack of cds such as Barbra Streisand did with "Just for the record". You could also coment Céline team that fans are willing to have dvds form concerts from Unison tour, Incognito tour, Céline Dion tour and à l'Olympia.

 

And of course, adecuate promotion for the new cds including video-clips.

Oh it would also be fun to hear why. like for example sometimes we associate music to a memory:

For me I also love Celine's Christmas album

Because it reminds me of my Mother and Sister... I swear the cd player must have burnt a hole right through the CD they played it so much

during Christmas time in the late Ninety's. So when I hear the album I can't help but to think of my mother and sister.

Hi Francois! It's so nice to finally have somebody close to Celine's team between us! Welcome on board!

 

My favorite Celine song has always been Then You Look At Me from her 1999 album All The Way... A Decade Of Song. This is a very special song for me 'cause, whenever I listen to it, I think of one of the best friends I ever had, who left us far too son... I also think that Celine shows some impressive and really powerful vocals in that song. I'll always wonder why it didn't get the promotion it deserves. (And it's not enough for me to hear that the Bicentennial Man movie wasn't successful on cinemas) Anyway, perhaps she considered to include the song on her new show 'cause there's a picture in which she is in front of a laptop watching the music video, during the rehearsals for the show, probably in Florida.

 

Her most powerful french song to me is Tous Les Blues Sont Écrits Pour Toi, although her rendition of Le Blues Du Businessman is very touching also. As you can see, I prefer the songs in which Celine shows off her vocal abilities... I just can't stop watching a video in which she performs Tous Les Blues Sont Écrits Pour Toi on YouTube, it looks like she is really feeling the song and I love that!

 

By the way, I'd do almost anything for these 3 songs to be performed by Celine sometime in a near future...

These Are Special Times is indeed a great album. What a perfect production it has from track 1 to the end . I take this album out of the shelf around november and listen it almost every day until january

 

But the album that is always close to me is A New Day Has Come, probably because the super positive mood it has overall through the whole disc. I bought this album the same day it was released and then in April I spent Easter holidays in Majorca, where the landscape is very similar to that featured in the cover artwork and photoshoot. It brings me very sweet memories. Songs like Right In Front Of You, I'm Alive, Superlove or When The Wrong One Loves You Right are like a medicine to me Listening to this album is synonymous of happiness, spring and summer.

 

I love other songs where Céline displays all her vocal abilities, which are by the way songs very underestimated in her concerts, like Refuse To Dance (almost operistic), or styles she barely touches now, like mid uptempo Did You Give Enough Love, which shows a very low, soft vocal registry that I enjoy a lot, or If Walls Could Talk

 

Also, there's a song I can't take out of my head these days of summer, which is L'abandon, as well as En attendant ses pas. Again, a raritie song because of the soft key in which her voice was recorded, and truly a gem to me S'il Suffisait D'aimer is by far my favourite french album up to date. Its somehow related to the seasons in the year to me, I associate some songs to each season: En attendant ses pas and L'abandon are for summer, Papillon is for autumn (tombent les feuilles), Je Crois Toi is winter to me somehow, because its a dark song, however Zora Sourit is is like the birth of spring to me... a fantastic album indeed.

I am a fierce fan of the following albums: Falling into you, Let's talk about love and A new day has come. I think that ANDHC hit the target, I mean, it became very successful and Celine sang her kind of songs. I want that kind of album again. Taking Chances was not her best, let me say. My favourite song.... let me say it's very difficult to choose just one but "A new day has come" is one of them. In French, I love "S'il suffisait d'aimer" and "L'amour existe encore". Hi there! It's Miquel again. I just wanted to tell you that sometimes we feel that countries such as Spain are left behind by Celine. We really missed a concert by her in Barcelona or Madrid during "Taking Chances Tour". I've seen her life twice so far, once in Las Vegas (A New Day) and once in Frankfurt. I am sure one concert by her in Spain would have been very successful. Anyway, I can't wait to listen to new stuff by our beloved Celine!!!!
