piglot82 Posted June 28, 2005 at 08:06 PM Posted June 28, 2005 at 08:06 PM You just have to be motivated, you don't have the teachers sitting there holding your hand and reminding you 1000 times that there is an assignment due soon. You have to do everything on your own. It also depends on how you learn. If you tend to teach yourself or have a good memory then it is a little easier but if you usually require a lot of additional explanation and help with your school work than it could be harder. Just make sure you stay focused, don't get too caught up in all the partying, go to class, and study as much as you can.Plus there are plenty of resourses available to help you if you start to get stuck. Mozinha Posted June 28, 2005 at 08:42 PM Posted June 28, 2005 at 08:42 PM My first years in college were hard because I had choosen the wrong subject to study. I had choosen biology-geology and I had classes like celular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, and advanced maths and I HATED IT. I couldn't even have good marks So I decided to change to another subject, now I'm studying to be elementary school teacher and I know I've found my place. I love children and I love everyclass I have, even sports class and arts class. We have 7 classes every semestre and few time to study but if we pay good atention in classes and then review the subjects every night, we do ok. I don't think it's hard, we just have to be responsable and devoted to that. I don't go out much on school time, I study even at my working place. I'm the top female student in my class, second overall. Celine's Wife Posted June 28, 2005 at 08:55 PM Posted June 28, 2005 at 08:55 PM Well Um... I wouldn't know... cause even though I was accepted at a normal college I declined it and went to the acting school I got accepted to..... I've never been big for learning by force I prefer to learn what I want to on my own so college would have killed me... and everyone I know that goes to normal college is always sooooo busy doing thier work.... Well how can we ask for more... We might make love in some sacred place... The look on your face is delicate

Koolan Posted June 29, 2005 at 06:08 AM Posted June 29, 2005 at 06:08 AM College isn't so hard, it's a valuable experience you'll go through. Make sure the major is something you're interested in, don't choose one because it is easy. It'll take some time to get used to at first. There are plenty of help out there, make use of the resources. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. Click here to go to the Amazon homepage.
Clari Posted June 29, 2005 at 08:10 AM Posted June 29, 2005 at 08:10 AM (edited) College is sometimes easier than high school, but don't take it so lightly. It all depends on your professors. Homework and reading chapters will prepare you for tests. If you have a lot of trouble in something, don't be afraid to look for help, there is always learning centers and tutors available to help you. Use college resources because you are gonna get charged for them anyway. maykonprincess Posted June 29, 2005 at 09:09 AM Posted June 29, 2005 at 09:09 AM College is a lot less strict than high School. My first year of college i took 6 classes, and it wasn't too difficult. you take lots of notes, and the tests are based on the notes. You get cool projects - i highly suggest you get involved in clubs you like. Good luck! I start college in August and I have 3 (writing, math, and a computer class)regular classes and 1 study hall ppl keep tellin me its so hard I'm gonna fail and stuff like that.is it really?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quote
maykonprincess Posted June 29, 2005 at 09:12 AM Posted June 29, 2005 at 09:12 AM Taking online classes could work for you. I have taken some through my school because i was constintly moving with my husband. They are pretty cool, and well paced. You basically learn all the information yourself, but you still have deadlines. I think there are some classes which are selfpaced. Well Um... I'm just entering high school, but I'm thinking about the future... Vic, can we major in something like computers? I'm pretty good with Microsoft Office and I'm going into high-school. Just wanna be ready, so... And do they have to teach one the "basics" too or do they just assume you know a lot? Knowing MS Office is definitely a plus Maybe you could go into computer science or something similar. Remember to take those easy A computer classes that's what I did in CSE101, just follow the instructions on the book for the weekly labs.
