Hi! Just saw Celine in a list of Divas on MSN.com. Just wanted to share it with you guys:) I think she's the nicest diva on the list :wub: Maria Callas is on the list as well ^_^

 

Here's what they said about Celine:)

 

She's the Quebec vocalist with the bombastic delivery and big-selling perfume line and in a country noted for it's moderate citizens, Celine Dion's diva nature is at the same time inexplicable and exceptional. Husband/manager Rene Angelil is a noted gambler, so Dion's almost five-year performance residency at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace was a win-win situation. True divas don't have to tour like mere singers... their followers flock to them.

I think it's ridiculous how Barbra, Mariah, Cher, and Diana Ross are ahead of her!! People love Celine much more than those other 4!! Celine should have been number 1!! Her success proves my point!! Cher's vegas show was not nearly as successful as Celine's!!! CELINE DESERVES TO BE #1.

I disagree. I think she's the antithesis of a "diva." Sure, she spends vast amounts of cash on nearly every item you can think of, but she's humble, down to earth, and considerate. She's not "cool" in the traditional sense of the word, and she seems fine with that, as am I. Her vast popularity that transcends national borders overshadows any perception of her lack of "coolness" anyway....Oh, and at least she's on the list. :thumbsup2:

I agree :)) well... it's not the anthithesis :innocent: , but she's so closed to the fans that is far from being distant and elusive as a Diva. :in_love:

Yes I know! :evil: I have never liked Diana Ross, I always felt if you're going to have an attitude like hers, you better have a good voice to back it up. And to me, she don't. :nono: :sick:

Celine always gets gipped from Mariah, but i think thats because Mariah is still singing her BIG BALLADS, even thos she still does RnB too.. and Celine went more ROCK the last few years

Mariah is still making hit songs though not really in ballads anymore but r&b songs. She tried going back to ballads and her "I want to know what love is" didn't really become a hit, compared to her previous r&b songs.

 

Madonna fans are crazy that's why everytime she releases a single, ti's gonna be up there, unless us billboard favors her.

 

I only see Celine third when it comes to airplays and hit songs as of this moment.

 

 

but when it comes to album sales, she's 2nd since i believe she has more than mariah's number of albums sold though she's better in singles sold. I'm not sure about madonna's number of albums and singles sold but rumors state that she's sold more than 300 million ... and Celine only has about 250 million.

 

Anna mouskouri is also a unknown yet successful female singer who has been rumored to sell more than 300 million too.
