New Céline fragrance: Simply Chic

As was inevitable (like Rain & Tax ), there will be another new fragrance to be released (early) this year!

 

This time it's an extension to "Chic" and it's called "Simply Chic".

The special edition will be released on March 1st in the US!

Available in February 2010, this limited edition scent makes a delightful statement for spring. The Fragrance

Simply Chic is a sparkling, floral, woody fragrance opening with bright citrus notes of Sicilian bergamot, blackcurrant and mandarin zest. At the heart of the fragrance is a luscious floral bouquet of white freesia, linden blossom and white rose. Lingering with notes of silk musk, white patchouli, crystal amber and sandalwood, the fragrance creates a long-lasting, warm and sensual harmony, making every woman feel comfortable, confident and beautiful.

 

Top Notes: Sicilian Bergamot, Juicy Black Currant, Mandarin Zest

Middle Notes: Freesia in Bloom, Linden Blossom, White Rose

The Packaging

The bold yet feminine carton and bottle reflect the Simply Chic spirit to perfection. The heavy glass bottle is complemented by a sleek transparent cap and reflective silver collar for a monochromatic look creating a perfect marriage with the fresh, amber coloured fragrance.

The carton has an elegant, unique architectural design featuring a soft V (roman numeral five) facet in a nod to Celine Dion’s lucky number. Highlighted with a touch of warm amber color, the V facet is surrounded by a beige embossed pattern giving it distinctive visual depth.

Too bad all Celine's fragrances land in the bargaincorner of Kruidvat (farmacy) here!

simply chic..is may sound expensive..but they all end in simply CHEAP...unfortunately

same for some cd's...can you imagine paying 5 euros for such a wonderful christmas cd of Celine ( These are special times)

last christmas, she was together with Mariah, Whitney and others..all were that cheap!

Wow, they turned that beautiful Habitat pic into a plastic Lady Gaga monster showcase! 

 

And make no mistake - this is an expensive parfum all the way! 23€ for 30ml!? That's around 75€ for 100ml! The likes of Klein, Gabbana cost as much as wel. I'd agree that generally Coty's products don't match the big luxury houses' heights, but are nonetheless pretty slick and not of low quality.
