Celine won for DVD of the year at Gala de L'Adisq 2009!!!

Hi, Celine is nominated this years two times for the Gala de l'Adisq in Québec!!!

 

- Artiste Québecois s'étant le plus illustré hors Québec

- DVD de l'année (Céline Dion sur les Plaines)

 

And Véronic DiCaire, who performed the opening acts of the "Taking Chances Tour" in Québec have one nomination (the show she did in the opening acts);

 

- Émission de télévision de l'année / Humour

The only time Celine doesn't win in the category( artiste s'étant le plus illustré hors du québec) it's when she doesnt suscribe . Last year Isabelle Boulay won because celine did not suscribe .

Yes, she's 41 years old and she has won 41 Félix over the years already....more than anymore in the history of the ADISQ....the second greatest winner is not even close to that number. I really think Céline and René hope that others will follow their path and share their own gift and talent opently with the world. The ADISQ recognition is a great springboard and support to go forward and higher for newcomers.

 

Of course it would be nice if she won for the DVD this year though but she doesn't need more of those Félix anymore really. Those awards can help the carreer of new artists and Céline, René and everyone here knows that; she doesn't need those anymore since a long time now. That's why she doesn't even subcribes some years and that's why she was given this tribute last year, a tribute that the ADISQ wanted to do for her for more ten years now...Obviously Céline is really in a league of her own! So, to me, winning is not important anymore here or meaningfull in any way at all for her carreer. The important thing is that she and her music, her work, remains, still, appreciated obviously , a force and a favorite of the people and the industry at home. Saying she's still "a favorite" here is an understatement if I may say! Whaterver happens she's already a winner, she's THE ultimate winner!

since she didn't get an award for AND dvd I don't believe in the ADISQ anymore! I really hope that she'll win one for SLP, because that concert is just a momentum and a huge momentum in her career!! And I don't care how many she won in the past, she 'needs' to win award in the present time to stay relevant in todays music scene!

Don't forget: On Monday, October 26 will be annoced if Celine will win "DVD de l’année" (DVD of the year) for "SLP" and "Artiste québécois s’étant le plus illustré hors Québec" (Quebecois artist with the most success outside of Quebec).

She won? Yay! It was definitely an amazing concert She and everyone else who worked on that project deserve this honor! I can't imagine doing all she did that summer with the tour, the awards, and this concert in the works.
