Interesting read- I wonder what Rene and Celine think of the book. I always put it down to music snobbery why people don't like her- that she's so commercial and successful. Some people absolutely detest her- but everyone is different.

Seems to me that these days the more successful you are, the more people there are "hating" you. Almost as if they despise anyone who is successful. I can honestly say that I don't "hate" any music star but there are plenty of them whose music I don't like, and I quickly reach for the off-switch when they come on the radio. It's a pity these critics can't be objective. Surely they should be able to appreciate talent, even if the particular genre is not their "thing"?

How someone can 'LEARN' to love her is a mystery to me.

She has one, of the most powerful, greatest singing voices in the world, and has adapted her voice to suit many different styles of song.

She has sheer beauty, a great character/personality, and is simply a born entertainer.

 

Her name is up right up there, with all of the great legend music entertainers and always will be!!!

 

But hey some may say Im biased!!!.....LOL

Thank you for sharing! It was a really interesting read. I often wonder what it exactly is that draws us so strongly to Celine and this article homes right in on that question. nice article to read and I must say a friend of mine does not like Celine at all. He does not like her physical appearance and esspecially can't stand hear her singing.And when I ask why and when I say she looks beautiful, esspecailly now in her 40s. He laughs.

When I let him hear Celine singing he puts his fingers in his ears..says he gets a headache and earproblems when hearing her..

I just cannot convert him haha

 

But in my opinion it's that enormous power she has in her voice which gives me the shivers all over

and how she moves and looks, like a real megastar, a diva ( in the positive way!) which she really really is! And she is also a very warm person who cares for her fans so much and she always wants to deliver her best to us. That is why I like her so much
