Bellamy Posted March 11, 2009 at 02:27 PM Posted March 11, 2009 at 02:27 PM So little. And yet so much. The new iPod shuffle is jaw-droppingly small. It’s half the size of the previous generation. Yet there’s room for so much more. With 4GB of storage, it now holds up to 1,000 songs, and lets you enjoy multiple playlists, too. It speaks for itself. Introducing VoiceOver, the feature that gives iPod shuffle a voice. With the press of a button, it tells you what song is playing and who’s performing it. It can even tell you the names of your playlists, giving you a new way to navigate your music. http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/ The voiceover sounds fun. They should add it to other iPod/iPhone by firmware upgrade. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
Krys Posted March 11, 2009 at 03:31 PM Posted March 11, 2009 at 03:31 PM wont be annoying when it announces what song its playing while the song is in the background? Quote
Edwin Posted March 11, 2009 at 03:33 PM Posted March 11, 2009 at 03:33 PM Hell yeah! I'd turn that feature off as soon as I could And even if it announced it before or after it's noise pollution I can live without! Just give me my music uninterrupted. Quote

zoea2812 Posted March 11, 2009 at 03:50 PM Posted March 11, 2009 at 03:50 PM Im not very good with new technology, LOL. I would probably end up with it telling me what the weather was doing rather than the artist and song Quote http://www.celinerific.com/Signatures/NHASig1.jpg
celinerific Posted March 13, 2009 at 12:39 AM Posted March 13, 2009 at 12:39 AM I personally never really fancied the Shuffle, and this doesn't seem too appealing, but frankly another device to get on my already-shrinking nerves. Ray Posted March 13, 2009 at 08:24 PM Posted March 13, 2009 at 08:24 PM I ALWAYS have my mp-3 player on shuffle, so it's almost like listening to a radiostation which only plays my favorite music. But I wouldn't want it to say who is singing. Having your iPod or mp3-player on shuffle is one thing, but to actually have an iPod Shuffe without a display I can't handle. Not being able to browse through albums and artists.. Having your iPod or mp3-player on shuffle is one thing, but to actually have an iPod Shuffe without a display I can't handle. Not being able to browse through albums and artists.. The iPod shuffle has ALWAYS been screenless. It's not meant to be interactive, other than play/pause, etc. It's meant to give you the ability to take a random amount of music with you, or a couple playlists and take it on the run... I have a "get up and go" playlist that pumps me up when im working out/running. I just hit play and I know im gonna get a good mix of my music. That's the demographic these things are targeted at. It's not meant for everyone, that's for sure. Check out the iPod Nano is you want a small music player with a screen. Quote
