I've been a fan of Celine's... since before I probably knew who she was! My father's family emigrated to Melbourne from Paris, and my father and his three sisters are all *huge* fans of Celine, so I grew up listening to a lot of her french recordings (my French is still woefully bad however). It wasn't until I was a little older that I realised that the person who sang my dad's favourite French songs was the one singing my mum's favourite English songs. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Celine on the Melbourne leg of her Taking Chances tour, which I am still disappointed over, but hopefully one day I will get to see her live, as I have her Live in Vegas DVD and every time I watch it I can't get over how great she is - and also what a down to earth and lovely person she is.
