I've been wanting to start this topic for a long time now

 

I have always loved when an artist (a NON Spanish speaking one)gives his best to try and sing in Spanish

There are a lot of songs from different performers that I love, such as

I remember as a kid they made me feel great, when a huge artist recorded in Spanish. I felt as they cared about US (LatinAmerica I mean)...how naif !!!! hahahaha

 

Anyway....just wanted to share, and wondered if any of you had your favourites

Mariah Carey's Mi Todo (My All) is one of my all-time favorites from her. everything about the song is just pure perfection. not a fan of the english version though. she sounds a lot better singing her songs in Latin.

 

... and Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti! i'm no Christina's biggest fan, but this song really drew me to her. i don't know what the heck this song is about, but dang her voice was flawless in this song!

Michael Jackson did a great version of 'How Much Can I Give?' and 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' in spanish - they were probably my faves. I do also have a few of Enrique Iglesias' spanish CDs which are quite good.

Well, I'm not a fan of hers either, but I really love this song

It's about her leading a "normal" life after a whilce since breaking up with her boyfriend, but then she remembers him and everything is a mess again....

 

and about "Have you ever been in love", the Spanish title is "Sabes como es el amor?" (Do you know how love is like?) and it's never been released

Celine has sung in Spanish this songs:

Well, there are a lot of artist who have made amazing versions in Spanish

In top of my list is Celine of course, and then Josh Groban, whose version of "Just walk away" called "Alejate" is a gem. I actually like his version better

 

Then, I would say i like Phil Collin's "En mi corazon", the theme song from Disney's "Tarzan"

However, there are some who are really awful singing in Spanish. Bryan Adams making "Everything I do (I do it for you)" in Spanish may cause a real damage to your ears.......

if you're asking about a non native speaker there's also Laura Pausini to add...well but she actually can speak spanish...so i don't know how hard it can be for her to record a spanish song!

I think Celine, Christina & Beyonce spanish song are awsome! Mariah's spanish accent is IMO and I think Madonna's song are better in english!

Madonna actually sung a really cool bilingual song with Ricky Martin...it's called Be Careful (Cuidado Con mi Corazon). Definitely one of my fav duets.
