"D'elles," "A New Day..." DVD, "Taking Chances" and now "My Love - Ultimate Collection" and the DVD/CD of the tour.... Black Kitten Posted September 21, 2008 at 02:47 PM Posted September 21, 2008 at 02:47 PM (edited) i wouldn't mind having another Christmas album from her. she can turn every traditional christmas carols into a masterpiece. i'm happy that she included some of my most favorite christmas classics in TAST like The Christmas Song, Happy Xmas, O Holy Night (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Mariah's), and Adeste Fideles. TAST has its flaws (Brahm's Lullaby and Les Cloches Du Hameau are imho "unnecessary"), but the originals are all masterpieces. Another Year Has Gone By is a wower, The Magic of Christmas Day is very "christmas", Christmas Eve is a fun song, I'm Your Angel, though not necessarily a holiday song, it's a great bonus (i love R.Kelly), and of course These are the Special Times. i have a lot of Christmas carols in mind that i wish she'll record. It's Christmas All Over the World (by Sheena Easton), Who Would Imagine a King (Whitney Houston), Silent Night, I'll Be Home for Christmas, White Christmas, Last Christmas, and a lot more. I liked imagining her voice singing all of the songs you mentioned, except, maybe, "Last Christmas." (Sorry guys, I HATE that song!) But all the others would be splendid. Also... I don't think they ever released a songbook with TAST, did they? If not, does anybody know of anybody who's transcribed the chord changes to "The Prayer?" Just wondering.
