Hopeless Romantic Posted January 7, 2008 at 08:55 PM Posted January 7, 2008 at 08:55 PM I want to propose to my girlfriend at the Celine concert in Birmingham Alabama. I have been trying to find a way to contact her or her management to find out if she would say something for me. My girlfriend loves Celine and being the guy that I am I got her tickets to see her. My girlfriend's birthday is on the 11th and the concert is on the 15th. Does anyone know if this has been done before or might be possible? A little background on us. We met in high school and dated for a short time. We hadn't been dating long when through no fault of her own she was forced to move back in with her father who lived a long way from me. She basically disappeared. Now it's 14 years later and we have been dating again for 6 months. We both thought about each other over the past 14 years. There was a strong connection between us then and now it's even stronger. I know if I could pull this off it would make her the happiest she has ever been. Please if you know of anything I can do to make this happen let me know. Thanks in advance Quote
Salla Posted January 7, 2008 at 09:48 PM Posted January 7, 2008 at 09:48 PM Aw, that's so sweet. I want to be proposed at a céline concert! I know that people have been proposed to at the A New Day.. show, but not sure how easy it is to do something like that in a bigger concert. but good luck! I hope you figure something out! Quote
Shesings2me Posted January 7, 2008 at 10:34 PM Posted January 7, 2008 at 10:34 PM Start by sending a letter to Sony BMG and if that doesn't work try sending one to Feeling Productions in Quebec (Rene's management company). If you have a long distance plan, just call someone at either place and ask them how to go about making this kind of request. Quote http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/5273/18771156.jpg
Hopeless Romantic Posted January 7, 2008 at 10:57 PM Author Posted January 7, 2008 at 10:57 PM I don't have much time. The concert is a week away so mailing them is not an option. I have looked online and tried to email teamceline with no response. I just decided the other day to try and do this from a conversation where she told me about a friend that is getting married. I will definitely try everything I can. I have a ring picked out but I'm not going to ask her for a few more months if this doesn't work out. I know she will say yes, I just want it to be perfect. Thanks for the replies. Please if you know anybody that may be able to help me my email address is gixxerfix@gmail.com Quote
piglot82 Posted January 8, 2008 at 02:17 AM Posted January 8, 2008 at 02:17 AM I think you're a bit confused...the AL concert is 1-15-09 not this year. Thu, 01/15/0908:00 PM BJCC ArenaBirmingham, AL Celine Dion I don't know how possible it will be for it to happen at an actual concert but my fiance proposed to me at A New Day back in May and he can tell you it takes alot of planning, networking and work to pull it off. Unless you know someone on Celine's team it'll be a bit harder. Good luck and I hope it works out. Quote http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b119/Piglot82/heartsig1.jpg

I have never heard of concert tickets going on sale over a year before a concert. I am going to have to come up with another proposal idea. Thanks for all your help. Quote

remykyes Posted January 22, 2008 at 04:29 PM Posted January 22, 2008 at 04:29 PM how far away from the stage are you? if you have floor seats, just go up during a break and ask Celine if you can propose to your girlfriend. People are always getting up to give her stuff! Or just yell Celine's name and wave like crazy and when she acknowledges you, get down on your knee and ask!!! BTW, make sure someone there is recording it so you have the moment forever! (and so we can see it!!!) Quote New Signature Coming Soon!

If it's like LTAL then they won't... to the dude who wants to propose, just bring Celine a nice bouquet of flowers, that way the security (and your girl) will think you're just going to give Celine flowers. But if you're not on the first section of floor the fuhgedaboutit. Quote
Doug Tesar Posted January 27, 2008 at 07:56 PM Posted January 27, 2008 at 07:56 PM Hey guys I was thinking doing as well here in Cleveland. my Girlfriend have been dateing 4 years now and are huge fans of hers. I was think of doing this at our concert Im lucky I do have floor seats at the center only 3 rows back on seats 1 and 2. Funny thing is I have been a fan of Celine's ever since she made it big here in the States. I have every album she has produced. Years later I met my girlfriend at a Holiday Inn and our first song we danced to was Celine's I'm alive. I never relized that after danceing with her people came up to me and told me that she looks like Celine. My girlfriend is the same age, same height and also speaks French. Take a look for yourself under my profile. Good Luck Hopeless Romantic. I like your guys ideas, I was thinking just do what someone said just get her attention should be that hard that close to the stage. I wounder if anyone has ever do this at her concert and if they are members of teamceline? maybe that could help if knew how they done it. I guess he is like me and not afraid to get up in front of 80+ thousand fans and do this says something. if ai had my choice I do it from the stage on a mic. I am not afraid, I have sang and given speaches in front of large groups of people before. The bad thing is what if his girlfriend or mine is not ready and say no! Do think so in my case but there is always a but..... Doug Quote Take Part in World Tour Viideo For Celine Dion

In Vegas you were not allowed to come toward the stage past your seat. I remember sitting in the 3rd row and the people getting their pictures taken would get yelled at if they even put their purse or bags on the steps leading TO the stage...they said it was a "Threat"....yeah, that would never happen.
