This two-hour special, BIOGRAPHY: CÉLINE DION tells the story of the premier contemporary pop vocalist of the '90s. In September, 1990 Céline Dion released "Unison," her first English-language album and scored a breakthrough hit with the Top 5 single "Where Does My Heart Beat Now." Céline's international breakthrough came when she recorded the title track for "Beauty and the Beast." The song went to No.1 and garnered an Academy Award and a Grammy Award. Céline's second English language album, "Céline Dion," produced four more hit singles including "Love Can Move Mountains," "Water From The Moon," "If You Asked Me To" and "Did You Give Enough Love." In Canada, the album went platinum six times. Céline Dion is known around the world for such major recording hits as "The Power of Love," "Because You Loved Me," "I'm Your Angel" and "My Heart Will Go On." On December 17, 1994, Céline Dion and René Angélil, the manager who financed her debut album in 1982, were married at Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal.
