i love celine but she definetly has a tendency to stretch the truth a little. i can think of several occasions where she has drank. i remember seeing a clip of her talking at the renewal of her vows and she had a drink in her hands and she was definetly tipsy... she had a hard time speaking. it was funny to watch. i also remember reading in her biography a story of when she was on tour and went out to a club w/ her band and got drunk on tequila. and also a friend of mine was waiting to meet celine outside her hotel in new york after a concert a few years ago and celine and rene went out to dinner at an itialian restaurant and she has a few glasses of wine (in fact there are a few pictures of celine leaving the restaurant with rene and she was clearly buzzed and they were "dancing" to the car" hah) and when celine came back to the hotel she was a little buzzed and when she met my friend outside she was laughing and appologized for "being out of it" b/c she had a few glasses of wine lol.

 

i mean theres nothing wrong w/ having a drink here and there. i don't know why celine feels she has say she never drinks at all... i mean she has a very clean image but i'm sure people wouldnt think any differently of her if she drank every once in awhile

Wow that's weird.. I think at 39 you can know yourself enough to know if you can be addict or no.. That's weird to be afraid like that, it's not cocaine, it's alcool..

Sometimes (and for some people) one drink is all it takes to start an addiction. Even though she probably has had a drink before she might mean this as she won't drink alcohol in the future...probably because of those moments someone mentioned she got a little tipsy. I personally don't drink alcohol for the same reason as others in my family have a "taste" for it. I have drank before but I was starting to like it too much. Alcohol has the power to change people, mostly for the worse. I just don't want to know who I become if I've had one drink too many.

I don't think that information is quite right. Those may have not been her exact words. Celine does drink occasionally... I saw her say she RARELY EVER drinks, but will on certain occasions only.

 

I remember there was a picture of her and she was holding a glass of wine and was quite pink.

I understand what you're saying, but we have no reason to doubt Celine when she says she doesn't drink. When someone says they don't, "drink," it doesn't mean that they don't drink no alcohol at all. It simply means that they don't drink on a regular basis; when they do drink, it's only once in a while--on very rare occasions. And besides, I don't know ANYONE who doesn't drink at their wedding.

I've read that her voice doctor told her (after the Unison tour disaster) what was good and bad for the vocal chords. Screaming is bad, drinking is bad, excersizing is good, and not talking is good. I've also heard her repeat what her doctor said (about the drinking) in an early interview.

That is so weird Yeah I read that in her book that after the Let's Talk About Love Tour her and her band went to a bar and had Tequila and was a little tipsy and didn't fell a thing the next day. I mean having a one drink is fine and I can see why. I mean if your drinking at a wedding, a friends birthday party or a bachelorette party.

I used to tell people I didn't drink because I would literally maybe have 2 alcoholic drinks all year and it was easier just to say "I don't drink".

very true...I drink every weekend and it's fun, but it can also get a little crazy... Sure Celine has drank alcohol before, who hasn't? Doesn't make her a bad person, but I would sure love to get drunk with Celine!!! I bet we would have the funnest time ever!!!!!!!!

exactly!! i totally agree, and if Celine refuses not to drink i respect her so much more for that. i think i understand what she means when she says that she's terrified of alcohol b/c some of her family members had a drinking problem (i wonder who?) i've been in a scary situation like that so i choose not to drink occasionally, b/c i tend to loose it...trust me one drink is never enough...

I think overall for her voice and health she does not drink most of the time but she has admitted that on special occasions she will have a drink, or two. I think it's smart for her since she performs so much and needs to be in top shape all of the time.

I drink when I go out to dinner,and when I go out to night-clubs etc.

But the main thing is to know yourself and how to control it.

 

I think it's a good thing for Celine not to drink(and if she drinks-maybe she doesn't drink so much)

because of her voice and if she doesn't drink-she'll probably won't get in any scandalous situation either,which is good for her star-quality...

 

Celine is intelligent-so I don't worry too much about if she drinks or doesn't drink...

i think magazines and media always exagrate things.in both her weddings she has photos with glass of wines. and in an interview she said that she had a glass of wine and it made her to sing don't take it all for christmas day ,for one of producers hich she was ashamed befor drinking
