Finale Week: Group Dinners

Well, we have four months left until we all start flying into Vegas like a bunch of hungry geese!

 

Well, we'll be hungry for SURE!

 

Especially during dinner time; after a wonderful, relaxing, and... may I say... COOL? day in Vegas during the month of December.

 

Since it IS the Finale Week, we should have rendezvous planned every night for dinner.

 

Let's make this the Official Thread for Group Dinners for the Finale Week, from Monday, December 10, 2007 to Sunday, December 15, 2007.

 

This is an interest and idea thread, so here's one ground rule that my friend Mary J had enlightened me with: no more drama.

 

 

 

So I want to start off with some ideas and suggestions:

We'll talk about Slice later. It's not really a "dinner" place, folks... but it SURE is a wonderful, memorable place!

This dinner idea is cool, but speaking for myself for Raluchi, the first time we went to Vegas last year, we didn't even have time to eat dinner! There were so many things to do, we just didn't manage it. I lost like 5 kilos in 10 days, the best damn diet ever! There were a couple of days when all we ate was chocolate chip cookies. Of course, it was our first time in Vegas, in the US, our first time ever seeing Celine, so we were more than excited. I understand that if you go there like a billion times like some of this forum's members, we get used to it and you run out of things to do Anyway, if this time we'll actually be able to make time for dinner, we'd love to join you. I haven't been to any of the places you mentioned, I'd love to try them out. We had a great lunch once at this restaurant inside Paris hotel, Provencal... or something like that. Also Spago inside Caesar's Palace is great (great pizza anyway ).

And how about going to Lake Las Vegas one evening and dining there? The Lake Las Vegas resort looks amazing! And I want to see Celine's neighbourhood. If anyone intends to drive over there, can I get a lift? I have a license, but I don't have a car, so I didn't drive at all in the 3 years I've had it. I wouldn't want to start in Vegas.

The only thing i would be nervous about is being off the strip (hard rock cafe) on a friday night so close to when the show starts.

 

also, according to their website, cheesecake factory doesn't take reservations. that might be kind of bad if a ton of us have to wait in line to get in there..? they also said some of their restaurants have banquet space. i can't imagine the forum shops one would, but i have no idea

 

hard rock cafe in vegas can hold parties & group events, though (just looking at their website..)

I agree with Erin - I don't believe the Cheesecake Factory takes reservations, and we can't just go in there expecting them to have a table that big! (I was a waitress - I would hate us if I got us as a table with no prior notice...)

Cheesecake might take reservations for groups of 8 or more. I suggest you call and ask them what their policy for large parties.

I will definitely call Cheesecake Factory soon to inquire about group reservation.

We're such an irresistible crowd because after all of our screaming, hollering, yelling, crying, and yodeling during Celine's Final Show, we will be starving as heck! They know that if they want to milk money from hungry fans of any superdiva, it would be the elite Celine Dion fans - us! :laugh:

 

I can just picture it now - the waiters of Cheesecake factory when the clock strikes 10PM on December the 15th:

 

Waiter 1: *panting "Oh my gosh! They're coming!"

Waiter 2: "Who's coming?"

Waiter 1: *panting "Them!"

Only you guys can make me laugh after such a bad day I've had!

 

I've never eaten cheesecake, so I'm definately in this program!!

 

The only problem is that I don't have a ticket for the 15th yet... I'm sure I'll find one! I have faith in it!

I love the idea to go to dinner every night with all of you guys. Yeah !!! lets do it !!!

I will be in vegas from monday 10 to monday 17. ( a whole week )

My concerts tickets are for the 12th, 14th, and 15th. So this days I want to be all ready dress up before

dinner so I don't have to be in a hurry. I think we have to make an official name list so we know how many are we and if is possible to go all together and if is necesary make reservations.

There is a restaurant calls: "Rainforest cafe" is locate it at MGM Grand it beautifull you will have a wild adventure on this restaurant.

 

So on concerts days we may have to be having dinner at 5:00pm , all ready drees up so we can jump from the restaurant to the colusseum to have the best dessert ever : CELINE

 

So lets be very specific on:

 

When is your arrival day?

when is your departure day?

we need to have an schedule for every day so everybody knows where to go and what time to be on the restaurant each day.

somebody have to be "the cordinator" that provide us a cell number to call in case we get lost or we need help.

so lets sign up for this dinner plan . it will be fun !!!
