What should we expect from a magazine that has a title like this beside the photo: "The New Skinny Pills: Yes, they work!" It's ridiculous if you ask me. Edited by ZoraSourit

well I like the orginal picture much more... the artists are getting the bad press, cos they have been photoshopped, but the photographers and the magazines are the ones who want to use the photoshop! -_-

It's ridiculous!

She looks beautiful in real ...

Yeah like Ale (zorasourit) said what we can expect from a magazine that has a reportage ""The New Skinny Pills: Yes, they work!"

Ridiculous!

Oh, i read some articles about this shooting and the Photoshop abuse and Faith didn't have any bad press, they said it's ridiculous because she still a beautiful woman at 39, so Redbook are the one who had bad press.. And i don't think they approve those pictures after the photoshop, i am very curious about that.

I love photoshop for cropping and enhancing photos to create a mood or get rid of red eyes. It's so obvious when it's used on magazine covers. Faith is naturally beautiful whp doesn't need software to make the side of her body thinner or erase other imperfections. Oprah's magazine photos are ridiculous as well-she has a much thinner waist and her skin is flawless. Editors think the public prefers an illusion rather than reality.

It's ridiculous they still do this...all this photoshopping just causes for young girls to try and live up to a standard of perfection that just does not exist. Faith is a gorgeous woman she doesn't need this!

It is kind of rediculous that they do this without her consent, but unfortunately that`s the industry..its really fake. To be honest, I photoshop pictures of myself sometimes to make my skin look better or to take off a few inches from my waist -_-. I know its a confidence thing and I know its because of magazines like these.

In fact, the original picture is the one that has Gisele Bunchen. They took mariah's face and put it into gisele's body.

I LOVE Faith Hill a lot and this just is crap :bash:

PS. That Mariah pic is so funny :P and that too for her perfume :chair:

Our Celine looks magnificient in all her perfume pics and ads

I think Faith Hill looked great but that is what you get when you use airbrushing on the person to make there makeup looked good and to stay on longer. I now this cause my sister has a airbrushing machine that she got from makeup school in Vancouver. :)

It's shameful ! So many girls get desperate when they read those magazines... :angry2:

They give people the image of an ideal that doesn't even exist. :pinch:

First of all, I want to say that "Photoshop" IS NOT a verb.

In the English language, it's a proper noun. :giggle:

Now, carrying on, I must say that Faith Hill is beautiful regardless of the digital post-production edits of her photographs.

To me, she still looks like Faith, before AND after the adjustments.

If you really want to talk about "major work," just look at the cover of all of Mariah Carey's promo covers these days.

Aww that's sweet :P

Did you see the emoticon that I put next to the word "noun" ? :giggle:

Plus, I think I have quite a valid opinion since I work as an imagemaking professional. :)

I disagree with you, I think the difference is pretty much noticeable...

It makes her look much thinner, and on young teens' minds, I believe it can make a difference.

If the women's bodies were not so retouched, I think that MANY people would stop feeling bad about their own body and weight.

I'm not saying that they are TOTALLY responsible for eating disorders, but I think they play a major role. :ermm:

I think you misinterpreted what I said.

What I meant to say was that I did not have to look twice to see if that was Faith Hill or not. She's recognizable and is apparently a beautiful with or without digital edits.

It's not like they turned her from an oompa loompa.
