René 2 Posted January 19, 2007 at 08:44 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 08:44 PM I voted for IDAN; best song for me Quote
Céline's Blues Posted January 19, 2007 at 08:47 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 08:47 PM (edited) I must say it suprises me that so many people like IKWLI that much. I think this is one of her cheapest ballads ever.... mostly because of the arrangement. I said it before and I will do it again: It sounds like al instruments are played on a casio-keyboard!It sounds this way cuzz it was recorded in 1999 for the ATW album but never made it to the final cut. It's a cut-n-paste demo of a song. Already by that you can see how much the former quality standards have been valued by Céline's team and... herself this time around. About the poll - the album could have been really huge and more concept oriented IF she decided to stick to dance numbers like IDAN or Reveal. IDAN is the best song of the album. Pity is that when you pay René Angelil 10 grands, he lets her wife record an album. It's that easy. Sad, sad, sad. Edited January 19, 2007 at 08:48 PM by siur Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
thevoice Posted January 19, 2007 at 08:56 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 08:56 PM seb - i dont really think it was recorded in 99 based on her voice and the way she sings...back then she sang diffrently...didnt catch her breath between notes eventho her voice there is amazing...overall this song is boring...i remmember loving it the first time i heard it but after few days i just couldnt listen to it anymore...it also sounds like she is trying too much there , vocaly - naaa it's not 99 seb . Céline's Blues Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:02 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:02 PM It may not have the 90's vocals but it's the same songs she recorded in 1999. BTW. I found her vocals in 99 simply dreadful. Just listen to TTWII. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
thevoice Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:11 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:11 PM just listen to TYLAM and LIVE - perfect vocals Quote
Céline's Blues Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:13 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:13 PM just listen to TYLAM and LIVE - perfect vocals <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yet nothing like she sounded on D'eux or FIY. Absulutely nothing. There she didn't have to push her voice to sound perfect. On ATW she used her very last breath and ability and you heard it. So badly. The end of the perfect Céline was announced. thevoice Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:30 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:30 PM ATW was the beginning of the end...yeahh on that i agree with u...but then again in 2001 she was all perfect singing GBA - probably her most powerful performances to date and seb - i think that vocaly TAST is her best one ever Quote
isurrender Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:32 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:32 PM I know what love is was not recorded in 1999. As credits mention that it was 2003 (so the righs for the song were registered that year... if she had recorded it in 1999 , it would be 1999) . Plus it was recorded in LV. She had never recorded there before 2000! ... Plus her voice is more beautiful than on 3/4 of All the way ( well that's just my opinion.. ) Quote
amelie Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:33 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:33 PM (edited) All the way is the album her vocals are best i think (she 's not just belting out she has great control) Edited January 19, 2007 at 09:35 PM by amelie Quote

Say What? Posted January 20, 2007 at 04:08 PM Posted January 20, 2007 at 04:08 PM This is what I call the dust pan album It's filled with old songs that were rejected from previous albums along with a couple of new ones... IKWLI was indeed recorded in 1999 for ATW. She didn't redo the vocals. Quote

LVCeline Posted January 22, 2007 at 03:08 AM Posted January 22, 2007 at 03:08 AM I'd like someone to link an official source that IKWLI was recorded in 1999. As someone said, I don't believe it to be true, as her voice in 99 was quite awesome, and this recording is just missing something. My favorite song, like most, is IDAN. Surely one of her best, and we should at least thank One Heart for coming out for that reason alone. If we can take at least one song and make it a classic and fan favorite from each of her albums, then that's a good thing. I am actually a fan of the song OH, as well as IHT. Quote

Céline's Blues Posted January 22, 2007 at 11:31 PM Posted January 22, 2007 at 11:31 PM Yes, she did record 16 or something songs for ATW. Only 7 or so have been then chosen. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
