Après Céline Dion et Garou, elle devient la troisième artiste à joindre les rangs de l’équipe de management du célèbre impresario. «René, Céline, moi et toute l’équipe avons carrément eu le coup de foudre pour cette fille-là», avouait hier Mario Lefèbvre, gérant de Garou. «On a eu l’occasion de la côtoyer l’automne passé, lorsqu’elle faisait la première partie de Garou en Europe, et on a vu à quel point elle pouvait charmer les gens. Le public venait pour voir Garou, mais chaque soir, Marilou réussissait à le toucher. Pour une jeune fille de 14 ans, c’est tout un exploit !» Découverte il y a deux ans grâce au succès Je serais là pour toi, son duo avec Gino Quilico, Marilou a d’abord été recrutée par Guy Cloutier. Elle a quitté l’entreprise (rebaptisée Novem Productions) pendant la récente restructuration de la boîte, qui a entraîné la disparition de la branche management. C’est à ce moment que l’équipe de René Angélil a décidé de prendre en main la carrière de la jeune prodige. Premier albumLa nouvelle équipe de gérance de Marilou aura rapidement du pain sur la planche parce que la jeune interprète lancera, en avril prochain, La fille qui chante, son tout premier album. Le disque sortira à une semaine d’intervalle au Québec, en France, en Belgique et en Suisse, sous la puissante étiquette Sony BMG. La jeune interprète détient par ailleurs un contrat de plusieurs années avec la multinationale qui lui assure la réalisation de six albums en français et de quatre en anglais. Aussi, l’album La fille qui chante misera sur une équipe d’auteurs-compositeurs de renom, dont Jacques Veneruso (qui est derrière, entre autres, le hit de Céline Tout l’or des hommes et le duo avec Garou-Céline, Sous le vent), Didier Barbelivien (un collaborateur régulier de Michel Sardou) et Jean-François Berger. Le premier extrait, Chante, a déjà commencé à tourner dans les radios québécoises et européennes. Un vidéoclip de la chanson, tourné au Québec, sortira aussi au cours des prochains jours. Priorité de Sony BMGSelon Mario Lefèbvre, l’album de Marilou constitue une grande priorité pour Sony BMG France. On raconte même entre les branches que les dirigeants de Sony BMG France verraient en elle une future Céline Dion. «Sans vouloir faire de comparaisons avec Céline, disons qu’il y a beaucoup d’engouement en ce moment de la part de Sony BMG pour Marilou, explique Mario Lefèbvre.
