Ronny83 Posted November 19, 2004 at 05:15 PM Author Posted November 19, 2004 at 05:15 PM Sure I will encode only the Celine part.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>So, did you watch it? Did they show the whole making of "Ma Nouvelle-France"? Then, "Nouvelle-France" will be distributed in France and UK on february/march 2005. Source: http://www.tv5.org/TV5Site/cinema/afp_arti...45.zovlb25o.xml Quote The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com

Just curious what does "Ma nouvelle France" mean? Does it mean "My new France"? I like the song. Can anyone translate the song to english? And does anyone know what the movie is about?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>yes, it means "My new France". Lyrics from celinemaniacs-- My New France -- My dear love, my dear lover,This is the end of all my troublesWill these few words from the far end of my prisonReach you one day ? Keep your body next to mineHold me close for one last timeYour warm breathe keeps on burning my skinAs it did in the first day. You gave me loveIt will be my lightI'll bring it into meAnd when I'll be coldIt will warm me up under the earth. [EXCERPTS FROM DIALOGUES OF THE MOVIE] " When I close my eyes, I see youWhen I open them, I search you? And you, my beautiful childI would just have had the timeTo show you the word " love " When I will have fly over the windWhen I will have cross the nothingnessTo find myself in front of the big giantI will watch over you I gave you birthRemember your motherAnd above all, don't forgetThe violences of loveAre equal to the violences of the war Goodbye my tender lover, my sweet childMy two lovesGoodbye my beautiful countryGoodbye my New FranceMy New France"When I close my eyes, I see you. When I open them, I search you"this is the sentence Celine cry for. so touching. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!

Just curious what does "Ma nouvelle France" mean? Does it mean "My new France"? I like the song. Can anyone translate the song to english? And does anyone know what the movie is about?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think "Ma Nouvelle France" refers to Canada - at least the French part of Canada (ie. Quebec) - which they called Nouvelle France - or New France. But the English beat the French, and so gained possession of North America and Canada (really one continuous country - just artifically partitioned by the colonialists). Quote
