NEW YORK (AP) -- A small plane crashed into a high-rise on Manhattan's Upper East Side, police said Wednesday. There was no immediate word on any deaths or injuries.

A column of gray smoke rose over the city, and raging flames could be seen in four windows on two upper floors.

2 confirmed deaths so far I'm assuming the foggy weather played a part in the crash.

Cory Lidle from the Yankees was one of the victims of the crash.

"The federal official said the plane had issued a distress call before the crash. The craft took off from New Jersey's Teterboro Airport about 2:30 p.m. and was in the air for barely 15 minutes, authorities said. Bloomberg said Lidle and his flying companion were sightseeing and were taking a route that took them over the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Empire State Building."
