Richardson, 17, died of cancer in March 2003 before she was able to meet her idol, Celine Dion, who talked to the Eldorado High School student by speakerphone during the final hours. In October, a co-worker of Stephanie's father, Jim, nominated the Richardsons for "Renovate My Family." A Fox crew showed up in December to chronicle the Richardson family's life after Stephanie. "We were treated like royalty for two weeks," said Jim Richardson, including a trip to Dion's Caesars Palace show, "A New Day." "We were whisked away for 12 days, and when we returned we had a new home and the start of a new life," he said. In addition to receiving grief and psychological counseling, the family received a welcome-home video from Celine Dion when they moved into their made-over home. She doesn't have to do things like that, and no one really expects her to but she does. At the end of the show on Monday August 8th (9-10pm est) they showed the promo for next week's episode which was going to be done in Las Vegas. They showed a short section where Celine will either meet the family or have a taped meeting(?). I'm not sure what will happen but it looks like she will be on in somewhere on that show. The brief clip they showed was of Celine sitting in her famous red dress and it looks like it may have been taped at Caesar's. So watch the show next Monday! Quote
