Album Dion chante Plamondon was released in November 1991 in Canada. It was promoted by two radio singles: L'amour existe encore & Des mots qui sonnent at the same time.

 

Next radio single in Canada (March 1992) was Je danse dans ma tete. This song was also choosen to promote this album in France. It was released there in April 1992 as commercial single but it flopped. Album renamed "Des mots qui sonnent" released the same month also flopped.

 

So Sony stoped promotion in France. They released next radio single in Canada in August 1992: Quelqu'un Que J'aime, Quelqu'un Qui M'aime. And that was the end of promotion.

 

In July 1993 Sony released commercial single Ziggy in France. It was suppose to promote Tycoon compilation. But the song became a hit and forgotten album Des mots qui sonnent started to climb French charts.

 

In January 1994 Sony released last commercial single from Celine's album in France: L'amour existe encore.

 

My question is: can someone tell where can I find covers of the promotional singles mentioned before?

I saw all of them, but don't have any at the moment. I'm talking about:

Des mots qui sonnent (Celine on the floor)

L'amour existe encore (Celine's face)

Quelqu'un Que J'aime, Quelqu'un Qui M'aime (Celine in a chair)

?

I'm just curious, did anyone on here ever hear "Quelqu'un Que J'aime, Quelqu'un Qui M'aime" on the radio when it was released? That song seems like a song that never really went anywhere. Sorta like "Stand By Your Side," and "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)."

its funny how years later they can promote an cd, and help it climb to the top, by just releasing singles so many years later, and for another cd...

I have a question: was "Quelqu'un Que J'aime, Quelqu'un Qui M'aime" performed live, other than the Sonia Benezra special where Celine did a magnificent rendition?!...

The interesting fact is that the special was in 1993, so two years after the album's release, maybe to take advantage of the newly-found succes of "Ziggy"
