Clio Posted May 29, 2006 at 03:43 PM Posted May 29, 2006 at 03:43 PM Whenever she sings that song, it sounds the same !!! http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/6184/houstannc9.jpg
Julian Posted May 29, 2006 at 03:57 PM Author Posted May 29, 2006 at 03:57 PM The fakt that TPOL @ACDS was playback shocked me!!!!
SuperLove4Celine Posted May 29, 2006 at 06:32 PM Posted May 29, 2006 at 06:32 PM I would love it if she sang TPOL live just ONCE. And if I'm going to dream I'd really love it if she sang the full version and not the radio edit. ::sigh:: I love Celine and music, but it just isn't what it used to be. ...Joe...
Nautanick Posted May 29, 2006 at 06:36 PM Posted May 29, 2006 at 06:36 PM She has sung it live...just not on tour and not since at least 1998 - when she did a little bit as part of a medley on Oprah. Look in this site's multimedia section for some live performances.
Bellamy Posted May 29, 2006 at 06:52 PM Posted May 29, 2006 at 06:52 PM Exactly. She had sung it LIVE many times in early ages. Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
Julian Posted May 29, 2006 at 08:21 PM Author Posted May 29, 2006 at 08:21 PM But not @ Au couer du stade ´ I dont find full LIVE performance.mp3
Céline's Blues Posted May 29, 2006 at 08:41 PM Posted May 29, 2006 at 08:41 PM (edited) Julian, she ALWAYS sings the first lines of the song live en concert and then the tape kicks in. It's not a big deal, tho - you know she has sung this song MANY MANY times live opn various US and French shows and every single rendition of hers was superb. I'm more than sure on her next acoustic world tournee she will sing it live in full - just for you. Here are 2 performances where she sings it fully live: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ny-jd9nZKp8&sea...wer%20of%20love http://youtube.com/watch?v=UNwMn6Dkt4s&sea...wer%20of%20love Edited May 29, 2006 at 08:43 PM by siur http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
VanMerlin Posted May 29, 2006 at 09:10 PM Posted May 29, 2006 at 09:10 PM I wonder why she keeps singing it then. I mean, I know it is one of her biggest hits and probably the first song many people fell in love with from her, but if she doesn't sing it live anymore...wouldn't it be nicer to hear her sing a song live, even if it isn't as nostalgic and powerful? And ya' know she can still sing it, so why does she always use the old track so routinely? I guess that's just a 'fan' speaking. The general public wouldn't know the difference and would love it anyway.

Im not sad about it and its not a big thing! But every time someone of my friends said somewhat negative about Celine, i do ACDS DVD in DVD Player and show them the end of TPOL..... After that nobody says anything negativ about her......and i told them, celine is singing live So....Thanks for youre answer....and the world is still living after that
Clio Posted May 31, 2006 at 05:41 PM Posted May 31, 2006 at 05:41 PM The song requires a lot of her voice's power so she had to save her voice as much as possible. That's why the lipsync always played at every LTAL world tour. http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/6184/houstannc9.jpg
puffa Posted May 31, 2006 at 05:54 PM Posted May 31, 2006 at 05:54 PM I don't think so ... probably few times she used the playback ... but on these cases I don't think so ... Check out this ... It's a video from AND live opening night... She really sung it! I've to believe ... http://youtube.com/watch?v=NeBDdp9HQ10&sea...wer%20of%20love But ... Where do you read that?? Kiss Puffa ***
Thomas Posted May 31, 2006 at 06:14 PM Posted May 31, 2006 at 06:14 PM That's not live at all! The only live part of that song is the first few lines and then the same old backing track kicks in. Can't you hear the change at 1:05? It's not even the same pitch! And if you notice, when Celine sings "not forsaaaaaaaake" at 1:00 she makes the vibrato with her throat because she is singing live. Her chin is not moving. Once the playback starts you can see that she emulates the vibrato by moving her chin up and down quickly, which is not the way Celine adds vibrato to her songs. It's what she does when she sings playback to try and make it more believable to those people watching.
xo1hrt4celineox Posted May 31, 2006 at 10:26 PM Posted May 31, 2006 at 10:26 PM i know it makes sense that such a demanding song would be in playback...it makes me wonder though, since i haven't gotten to see AND... yet how many of the songs in the show are playback and which ones are really live?? . . .Live to Love Celine Dion <3http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i294/xo1hrt4celineox/java05.jpghttp://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i294/xo1hrt4celineox/8839047.png

But Celine is still very good at lipsync. In most performances, only fans know her performance very well can tell she's using playback. Depp27 Posted June 6, 2006 at 09:10 AM Posted June 6, 2006 at 09:10 AM What songs does she lipsync in AND exactly? I searched the forums a bit, but I didn't find anything that told me exactly.

I searched the forums a bit, but I didn't find anything that told me exactly.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hehe that will always be open for debate...Some say over half others say only a couple. Some say the same ones each night...others say she changes them around a bit. I've read and read countless times how people know 100% what's mimed and what's live. At the end of the day I think the only pleople who know 100% are Celine and her team. http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/3239/kylieima5lp9.jpg How do you describe a feeling??
Paulinha Dion Posted June 6, 2006 at 06:10 PM Posted June 6, 2006 at 06:10 PM I am speechles.. I thought she sang live.. all the times. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/CelineSmiles/fan/BlinkieCK.gif

CSCfan Posted June 6, 2006 at 07:41 PM Posted June 6, 2006 at 07:41 PM Besides, when you attend the show/are at the show, the LAST thing you think about is 'lip-synching'.. I personally don't care, even that she does fantastic.. »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY
